The KGUN9 News desk has received call from half a dozen people saying that David-Monthan AFB is on lockdown due to a possible shooter in the Civil Engineering building. KGUN9 News has not been able to reach anyone in authority to confirm those calls. One caller said she was inside the BX grocery store in the base when an announcement came over the PA stating that the store's doors would be locked due to reports of a shooter on base with an AK 47. Three callers stated that there were up to 2 shooters and that multiple shots had been fired. Stay with KGUN9 News for more on this developing story.
Update: Davis-Monthan has just provided a brief statement to the media confirming the lockdown but giving no other information. The statement reads, "D-M has reduced movements to single-point entry due to a potential security situation. Officials are currently investigating the situation, and more information will be forthcoming."
Davis-Monthan Air Force Base is on lockdown due to a potential security situation, according to D-M officials.
There were unconfirmed reports of someone with a weapon on the base, but no suspect has been found, said Tech Sgt. Russ Martin.
“There were reports of something that looked like it might have been a weapon,” he said.
He could not say whether the person being sought was a civilian or member of the military.
No shots were fired and no one was hurt, he said.
All movement has been reduced to a single-point of entry. Officials are currently investigating the situation.
The Sonoran Science Academy located on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson has confirmed it is on lockdown.
Frank Borman Elementary School on Davis-Monthan is also on lockdown, a Tucson Unified School District spokesperson stated.
Base officials say parents will not be allowed on the base to pick up their children until the situation is resolved.

Depends on where they were on base. There’s all kinds of cool stuff on that base for bad guys to get a hold of. Secret stuff, dangerous stuff, secret dangerous stuff. Back when I was a kid (late 70s early 80s) DM went under lock down almost once a month, the two big causes were: someone who looked unauthorized in an authorized personnel only area, somebody trying to gain access by force/ stealth (rush a gate or climb the fence).
Back then it didn’t generally make the news. If your life involved DM you found out, if it didn’t you didn’t. They probably still have tons of lock downs that don’t make the news).
Charter schools won’t be TUSD buses, unless they lease out TUSD’s bus service.
Finding only the threat is being classified as unspecified. Continuing to search for information.

Thanks for posting this.
If there is a bad guy, how about this time we make sure there’s immediate and final closure of the incident unlike Ft. Hood. Lessons learned.
Amost sounds like this could be some training evolution or exercise mistaken for something else, but who knows in today’s world.
The first report said it was in the Civil Engineer building. We used to practice team movement techniques and defensive fighting positions with plastic/fake M-16’s.
NOT going to end quickly
Just got a call from a buddy whose wife works on base. She seems to have been told that there is a guy on the roof of a building with a gun and nobody is being allowed out of their buildings.
Well, we know it wasn’t any of our serviceman as they aren’t allowed to have guns.
Lone gunman...
Wonderful person...
Completely out-of-character...
No way to see this coming...
“..of a shooter on base with an AK 47. ...”
So where the hell did the “AK47” info come from?????
Have seen and viewed that report. Some media outlets are reporting this as the location. Conflicting reports on location. Base Personnel may know exact location.
Might be a “Lone Wolf” now - akin to the Ft. Hood massacre...
But when the Stalinesque PURGE comes (once the US Military becomes more of a threat than an asset to the tyrannical, illegitimate regime and is thus considered expendable)there will be many more, and they will strike in a massive, coordinated, and ruthless attack.
Hint: “Domestic Security Force”; - Mexican Cartels along with their Hezbullah / Iranian allies, Gang bangers, LaRAZA and Mercenaries hired with Billion$ of your “$timulu$” money and Trillion$ gone “Mi$$ing” from the FED, for starters.
The pacification, disarmament, enslavement and occupation of the United States will not be accomplished by the U.S. Military, folks.
There is a REASON why our Military is scrupulously disarmed, you know. They are being kept as sheep for the slaughter... at least the non-Muslim Members who are not “In” on the plan are.
I pray that some of our LOYAL Warriors have contingency plans for when the time comes for their planned sacrifice - otherwise few if any of them will be coming home, ever again.
A U.S. military base is locked down because somebody is seen carrying a weapon. I know this situation terrifies me, but not for the same reason that it terrifies liberals.
I’m not holding my breath for America to wake up sufficiently to defend our civilization, but here’s something to think about in regards to our military:
