No, they didn’t. They pressured him and got what they wanted. If he was really as strong as you say they would not have gotten what they wanted.
It’s not at all clear (from the article) whether he gave them what they wanted or not.
You can be ‘pressured’ to do something and still not do it. You can ‘chafe’ at doing something and still not do it. I wish HotAir had made this clearer.
The testimony is public record....and I don't know why this salient point isn't being addressed in the breaking news.

He said the pressured him to alter his testimony. Show us where it says he actually DID alter it? My guess is he did not.
My husband was in the Air Force. I asked him once if generals lie. He said “Of course they do. How do you think they get to be generals”? That has always stuck with me.
As I read the article, he didn’t change his opinion and he informed the committee that the pressure had been exerted.
