The Daily Rasmussen Index Ping.

Obviously, the voting public likes a sissy man who cries when he doesn’t get his way.

“If you love me, you’ll help me pass this bill.” Waaaaaaaa!

How can 46% even slightly approve of what Obama is doing? It is amazing how many Flavor-Aid drinkers there are in this country now.

Rasmussen’s polls are padded as much as the employment figures are. Barry’s actual unfavorables are much higher. So is unemployment.

If we could break through a little stronger and faster on these scandals- Solyndra, F&F, and now Light Squared, zero would be even lower. But, there is too much crap coming out now that exceeds the ability of a compliant media to cover up.

Sad, but Obama is going to get 45% of the vote in 2012 no matter what. That is basically his floor. Not so much because many of those that will vote for him like him too terribly much, rather it is because they are terrified of Republicans. Democrats play the victim and identity politics game very well and have the vast majority of the media to assist them to this end.

Excellent point! The Obama fan club (blacks in particular) have come to be terrified of Republicans. I hear it every day. Herman Cain does not speak for African Americans; Al Sharpton speaks for them.

None of this will mean anything if he manages to give Amnesty to millions of Illegal Immigrants in time for them to register to vote in 2012. But, if he tries that, I've got a feeling there will be an all-out revolution in this country.

Something is fishy here. The more scandals we see coming out of the Obama regime, the higher his numbers go?! It’s not supposed to work that way. Something is out of whack. Maybe the people in this country do want a corrupt socialist government running a third world banana republic. That’s what these polls are indicating to me.

Corelating closely to the percentage of people on the gubmint dole.

I have always been critical of this bogus poll. -17? It has been worse than this when Obama was far more popular. If it was right way back then, it should be at least -34 now. I say BS on this poll, now and in the future. It is a MEANINGLESS poll. I don't know what is wrong with it, but Rasmussen should drop this poll.

This is starting to look like a real move. We now have three days at -17 so it isn't just a one day bump. On the other side, it doesn't look like he is moving up any more. However if this is the best Obama can do he is in serious trouble.

All the good news for Obama is temporary. He is talking up his jobs plan, but it will soon be obvious to even the most brain dead lib that the thing is DOA. Once he gets back in the big black bus of fail watch those numbers go down again.

The DJIA has been up every day since September 12, and not surprisingly so have Obama's numbers. A 600 point bump in the dow over 4 days has pumped over a trillion dollars into the economy. Twice as much as Obama's porkulous II, and without the need for extra debt. However; as quickly as the DOW gives, the DOW takes away. If Greece defaults or if bad earnings numbers confirm a double dip it can pull money out of the economy just as fast.

Finally the Middle East is out of the headlines for anyone other than news junkies. But if the UN gives the Palestinians a state watch for all hell to break loose between Turkey, Egypt, Syria and Israel. Heck Turkey is trying to stir up a war with Greece too. That would almost certainly cause a default, and since Russia has sent warships to defend its off shore oil platforms on Cyprus from the Turks you could see a full scale NATO -vs- Russia war. YEA WERE DOOMED!

If any of the above break lose watch for Obama's popularity to plunge. And he is starting off from the lofty heights of -17.

IMHO this is the most telling poll.

When tracking President Obama’s job approval on a daily basis, people sometimes get so caught up in the day-to-day fluctuations that they miss the bigger picture. To look at the longer-term trends, Rasmussen Reports compiles the numbers on a full-month basis, and the results can be seen in the graphics below.

In August, the number who Strongly Approve of Obama’s job performance was at 21%. That’s down three points from 24% in July and the lowest level measured during Obama's entire presidency. The previous low was 23% reached in both April and June of this year.

Since July 2009, the number who Strongly Approved of the president’s performance has now ranged from a low of 21% to a high of 31%. By comparison, 43% Strongly Approved of Obama's performance in January 2009.

The number of voters who Strongly Disapprove of the president’s performance increased a point from July to 42% in August. The number of voters who Strongly Disapproved has ranged from 37% to 44% since July 2009.

The full-month Presidential Approval Index rating for August is down four points from July to -21. That’s by far Obama's lowest full-month approval index rating since taking office in January 2009. Prior to this survey, Obama’s lowest level of approval was -17, reached three times since January 2009. With a few exceptions, the president’s approval index rating has stayed between -14 and -17 since the beginning of 2010.

The full-month numbers for August show Strong Approval from 43% of Democrats, while 73% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among voters not affiliated with either party, 14% Strongly Approve and 42% Strongly Disapprove of Obama's job performance.

Sadly, these numbers are real. Nearly half of Americans do not see what we see.

The playbook is in place, and it worked before. Obama is being kicked by everyone, even some of his progressive friends in Pravda. But the kicks are gentle.

Regardless of what the economy does, regardless of how horrible the situation is for America, by July of 2012, Obama will be hailed as the comeback kid, and Pravda will have NO negative coverage of BHO.

Zero is enjoying a mild bump from his base (strongly approve). They appreciate the fact that he is attempting to redistribute a half trillion more from the fat cats via his new jobs bill. He’s even tagged a few mil for his ACORN buds.
