HSUS to Stage Anti-Hunting Call-in-Day in Pennsylvania |
Wednesday, September 14, 2011 |
When the Pennsylvania Senate reconvenes on Monday, September 19, the anti-hunting extremists of the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) will stage an End Live Pigeon Shoots Call-in-Day to members of the state Senate. The HSUS Call-in-Day is in support of immediate action on Senate Bill 626, legislation sponsored by state Senator Patrick Browne (R-16) prohibiting organized bird shoots. This proposal still remains active on the Senate Calendar for possible consideration. Organized bird shooting is a traditional shooting sport widely practiced in more than thirty-five states across the nation, not only in Pennsylvania as opponents falsely claim. For over a century, shoots have been held in Pennsylvania by law-abiding, ethical shooting enthusiasts. Radical national animal rights" groups, led by the HSUS, have organized and funded efforts in Pennsylvania and around the country to ban this longstanding, traditional shooting sport. Make no mistake, this is not just about banning organized bird shoots; this is ultimately about banning all hunting, species by species and method by method. Here are a few examples of HSUS activities: * Oppose Sunday hunting in Pennsylvania Next week, its crucial that your state Senator hears your voice over the emotional pleas of the anti-hunting zealots. Please contact your state Senator and urge him or her to protect Pennsylvanias sporting traditions by opposing SB 626. The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is a radical animal rights group. Whenever you see them raising money, it’s not going to be for your local animal shelter, they’re doing it to push their own animal rights agenda.
They want to get rid of Horse Racing. Boy are they asking for trouble.
The human association(HSUS) listed is nothing more than a communist organization using animals to raise funds. And more than one of the posters here belong to this scum sucking organization.
Over population of Bambi is a very very very big problem in the SE part of the state. So much so that it is hard to find anyone who has driven for any length of time that has NOT hit a deer.

Chester County, PA : I see dead deer daily. in other news, our turkey vultures are doing quite well
“We have no problem with the extinction of domesticated animals” - Wayne Pacelle, President HSUS.
I can’t believe people still listen to these goons, much less give them money.
This bunch is a scam that is wholly owned and operated by PETA. They started this and gave it this name to confuse the public and raise cash for their own use.
Is this the same bunch who years ago were running between hunters and the deer to scare them off? Most states later passed anti-hunter harassment laws. Not to protect the hunters but more to prevent some bambi-worshipper from dying in an unavoidable tragic gun accident.
Could still happen, y’know.
;^)
Let me get this straight: A REPUBLICAN sponsored a bill that will ban hunting and it's also being pushed by HSUS??? Methinks there be a RAT in residence at the state House hiding under a republican rock. He needs to be replaced in the next election or the disease will grow.
I guess that should read “anti-harassment of hunters” laws.
This protest in PA will not end well, I predict.
Sponsored by a REPUBLICAN??????????
He should whipped around the fleet!!
Who would dat be?
You ever drive through Valley Forge Park? The deer are emaciated from not having enough food due to over-grazing. They are infested with ticks too and so no one brings their dogs there anymore. It would be insanity to not cull them out through hunts. Of course, there is zero ability to move them somewhere else since deer are everywhere.
