CONCORD, N.H. -- Despite objections from law enforcement and a governor's veto, the New Hampshire House has passed a bill into law that allows people to use deadly force to defend themselves any place they have a right to be.
The 251-111 vote Wednesday comes a week after the Senate voted to override Gov. John Lynch's veto.
The deadly force bill is based on the Castle Doctrine, which says a person does not have to retreat from intruders at home before using deadly force. The bill expands that principle to public places, anywhere a person has a right to be. The principle is known as the Stand Your Ground Principle.
More than two dozen states have passed either one or both of the measures.

Excellent news. Congrats to NH Conservatives.
I live in fla. We too passed this law. Recently a judge dismissed a case of 1st degree murder using this law as grounds. Dec will be the first time I will buy n own a gun. Frankly things are getting frightening out there. Flash mobs, beheadings on the border, union thugs just to name a few.

That is something you can indeed be proud of - WELL DONE!
Just in case you missed it.
Proud of ya! What does it to take 362 reps in a state the size of a 10 postage stamps? Wondering.
There are 400 in the House and we get paid $200 for a 2-year term. Today was totally on us as we didn’t even get paid mileage.
Thanks for looking out for us!
You’ve never been here, have you?

Thanks for your service, this is more like what the
founders intended.
You have the perfect public service job - thank you for your service.
Friend of mine from NH insists we Virginians a puritans or something - she may have a point.
Thank you from Goffstown.
How about TSA? Can you do something about that locally?
Of course, back in the Founders' day, $200 was ten gold Double Eagles, worth about $18,000 in today's debauched, degraded dollars. Unfortunately the authors of the NH Constitution never dreamed that the sacred trust of a sound, honest currency could be so devastatingly savaged by the government.
Thank you. Too bad Constitutional Carry got killed by NRA infighting.
Thank you!!! This is magnificent!

Don’t just buy a gun Donna... learn how to use it... get some competent instruction... shoot it as much as possible... if you are an old hand... please disregard. Guns are a tool... but tools can sometimes be fun too. Safety, fun and defense... that is what it is all about. The better you get with your weapon... the more fun it becomes to shoot and clean.

Thank God for people like you... thank you!!! Hopefully this will put a stop to flash mobs/riots.
Nope, I’ve never been there. I guess it has to with “Freeman Councils” or whatever at every Town level.
I’ll have to do research on this type of rep gvmt.
