It Begins: Obama Should Quit
Pajamas Media ^ | September 14th, 2011 | Christian Adams

Posted on 09/14/2011 1:00:47 PM PDT by shield

This morning, John Fund was on WMAL-AM, the talk radio powerhouse in Washington D.C. He mentioned that nobody in Democratic circles is defending Obama anymore. Buyer’s remorse is everywhere. Essentially, only those actually working for the Administration or Democratic Party, trapped inside the Alamo, are defending the fort now. Anyone can guess when they might start turning the guns on each other, perhaps starting from Foggy Bottom. Fund thought there is a chance that a “committee” of senior Democrats might go to Obama in a few months and tell him it might be best not to run for reelection. Who knows. At least the disappointment would be bi-partisan if that happened, with White House loyalists and the GOP both upset Obama wouldn’t be on the ballot in November.

Then Andrew Breitbart over at the Bigs has the same observation as Fund:

I predict a tectonic shift among American Jews and within the Democratic Party if Obama doesn’t quietly retire. All the spinning in the world can’t spin away the trend of Scott Brown, the Tea Party victory of November 2010, and now the Turner earthquake.

Many Democrats are awakening to the reality that their party has been hijacked by a radicalism completely unfamiliar to their parents’ and grandparents’ Democratic Party.

An internal, partisan civil war is now brewing in that party. What I think tonight is less important than what Joe Lieberman, Bill Clinton, Evan Bayh, and the rest of the former, and now defunct, reasonable wing of the Democratic Party is thinking tonight.

Granted, it’s early, and one bad night in Brooklyn does not an LBJ make. But there is no mistaking the sense of failure creeping over this Presidency after so much Hope.

Obama will be re-elected. You can take that to the bank.

This is my belief, too. Yeah, it's early, and yeah, a lot can still happen, but I don't see how Obama loses given the current crop of GOP hopefuls.

“And here’s the next step. The Democrats nominate someone who is considered a “centrist,” someone with background and experience, someone like... Hillary Clinton”

yeah that’s going to play well with the blacks and Daily Show kiddies

SORRY! It should have read:

...simply announce that he will not run for reelection.

They already have attached themselves quietly to the gunrunner probe.

No he won’t but Hillary sure will. Many feel she got ripped in 2008, including the strongest voting block, women. I said this from the beginning Obama will leave Office for some reason and Hilliary will become a modern day Lady Godiva, hopefully clothed.

So it turn out that in 2012, Barak IS THE ONE we’ve been waiting for.

IF the dems would have taken a hint much earlier, they’d wouldn’t have had the NY9 loss.

On October 4, West Virginia has a special election for governor. West Virginia has been dominated by the Dems since the 1930s. On the other hand, WV is 93% white, and their main industry is coal mining, which O has been trying hard to kill. A Repub win would be a lot bigger deal there than NY9 was.

There’s a little glass box on the wall of the DNC headquarters that reads “in case of emergency, break glass”. In side is Zero’s fake BC.

It may be unfamiliar to their parents and grandparents, but it's completely familiar to their adult children and any recent college students.

This virulent radical leftism has been brewing in academia for 40 years, but since 9/11, or perhaps since early 2003, it's gone mainstream. There's no way Obama walks it back.

That’s what the Republicans want too. Keep him in office...let him run...

You know you’re in trouble when the Clinton’s are considered a moderating factor...

And given the penchant for liberal violence, I would not be surprised to see a leftist take a shot at Obama......of course, that would turn him into an instant martyr and pave the way for Biden 2012.

Could happen, but I believe such things are almost impossible to carry off today. Of course, even a failed attempt would be used against us regardless of who was behind it. And that could prove as costly to us as if it was successful. OTOH, our vigilance and success in the blogosphere of repudiating MSM lies and misrepresentations may well blunt it. Who knows. All conjecture.

But I don't see Obama going gracefully. It's not in his makeup. Thus, all this internal warring may well bring things more to a head than settle anything.

And Idon’t think our urban denizens will take calls for him to quit too nicely.

You are wrong. Behind the scenes you even have powerful dems working with Republicans to rid this country of him.

Agree whole heartedly. They will allow one these scandals to make it’s way back to Obama. He’ll be gone without firing a shot. None so vicious or creative when it comes to destroying one of their own.

Just as the Republican establishment is being challenged by the TEA party (conservatives, mostly) the Democrat party was challenged by the leftist radicals some time ago and the radicals won, culminating in the election of Barack Hussein Obama in 2008, with the help of a weak Republican candidate (John McCain) ambivalent about winning the election and quick to praise his opponent. This is why I find it both ironic and annoying that the leftist Democrats that are trying so hard to destroy America by undermining our collective values, our economy and our national pride constantly try to characterize those who oppose their evil agenda as 'extremists'.

It's finally becoming obvious to Democrats that Obama is far too liberal (communist) for America and that their dreamy desire for a socialist utopia has turned America into dystopia, instead. I doubt Obama will refuse to run in 2012, his ego being what it is but then, if he sees (as LBJ did) a massive repudiation of his administration on election day 2012 in his future, he may just slink away, but I doubt it. Obama is a 'True Believer' in socialism/communism and he won't abandon that belief in the face of reality. This is his weakness, shared by many in the Democrat party. However, DNC pragmatists may intervene, but I'll only believe that when I see it.

They packaged this Obama brand, marketed it and sold it.

They’ve buried all the problems this product has.

It’s darn well killed the country but NOW, when they think their base won’t come out to renew the Obama brand, they want a do-over.

Tough. The entire nation associates the Democratic Party with/as the Obama brand.

Most likely you are correct. I think that way most of the time.

However I don't know why he's gone from -24 to -17 the last few days.

I'm cratching my head over that while knowing that they are cooking up major strategy. Yes, they are bumblers often and thank God for that, but their sinister planners (think Madame Sec'y) have taken us unawares before.
