Another hit piece that omits key facts.

My opinion:

Rick Perry didn't handle this terribly well. He admits that himself. I don't like it, but it doesn't make me think that he is a terrible person. I'm still basically neutral on him, and if he were the candidate I would certainly vote for him.

Michelle Bachmann probably made too much of this. I think it is an issue worth raising, but I think she bumbled it a bit and I think she is now suffering more than Perry is when the Gardasil issue is discussed. I still like Bachmann and would definitely vote for her.

Overall, I think a lot of people who don't like conservative women are blowing this out of proportion and using this topic as a way to push Bachmann off the stage. I'm not happy about that.

I don't like his forcing the vaccines on kids (and he has admitted it was a mistake).

I also don't like the ‘crony capitalism’ aspect of the story. However, I long ago gave up on politicians being pure as the driven snow.

Politics is a dirty business and I understand that anyone in this arena will not remain clean.

Clearly, vaccination issues are of paramount importance regarding federal executive branch policy, so I can’t imagine why anyone is still paying attention to Perry.

Perry should use some Gardasil himself, he has some warts on his record.

First of all, you must remember that just because something might have happened that doesn't mean it had to happen, or that it did happen.

Secondly, not all employees of corporations are prepared to lie to you.

Thirdly, news media types who make a living by inventing stories probably invented the one you were just reading.

The only thing suspicious about Ricardo Perrido is that he thought it was good to serve for 12 years as Texas governor.

My disputes with the guy involve his lamebrain and nationally counterproductive policies. For most topend politicians those policies are concocted by their closest advisors ~ for which reason we should beware of Perry's old cronies and donors should he become President. None of those people should be allowed anywhere near the levers of power.

And yet, this is a common occurrence amongst Democrats. Chicago and cronyism is the modus operandi for the current administration.

I doubt that I could vote for Perry, but this is sure showing that the WH is scared of his potential.

More nonsense. I notice everyone conspicuously avoids seeking the opinion of the medical community on this. The real issue here is that this vaccination is to prevent a sexually transmitted disease and there are a bunch of parents that simply refuse to admit the possibility that their little darling might need it.

Excuse me!
But what’s all this hype about a vaccine, designed to address only 4 of 11 types of HPV?

More socially engineered, false sense of “no consequences”!

What about the other 7 HPV’s and 99 remaining STD’s?

Why oh why can't people just concentrate on what politicians say rather than what they actually do?

It's so much easier when you ignore character, integrity and trustworthiness and vote for looks and personality instead.

Gardasil is a very effective drug that can prevent women from unnecessary cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is much higher in the Hispanic and black populations who can not afford annual pap smears to detect the cancer early.

While we know that it is often a horrible idea to use government to attempt do good, Rick Perry is guilty of doing just that.

Shame on him! How dare he try to use his government position to assist low income women prevent a preventable disease. Why it would destroy the conservative’s image! Imagine if we started trying to help low income women stay out of very expensive hospitals and very costly end of life care. What is this world coming to?
