We're told by a source inside the Times that the paper is preparing a story arguing that Obama no longer finds joy in the political back-and-forth, has seemed increasingly listless to associates, and is generally exhibiting the litany of signs that late-night cable commercials will tell you add up to depression. Or maybe Low T.

Either way, the investigation was described to us as taking seriously the notion that Obama may be suffering from a depressive episode.

It’s not depression. Remember, Zero is a major league narcissist.

What he is going through is frustration and anger resulting from the reality of the world colliding with his own self-conception. As a result, we will see him lash out more and more in coming months.

Yes, narcissists do go through these episodes when they discover that the world doesn't accept and support their own image of themselves. But depression is one reaction narcissists have to that injury to their self image. Rage and manipulation may be to other reactions to narcissistic injury and frustration. At least that's my take on this.

It may be of interest to the more cerebrally oriented freepers that an eminent behavioral psychologist, O. H. Mowrer, proposed a model of depression based on the idea that one had fallen short of one's own standards, especially moral standards.

Given the principles of natural law, that moral behavior is recognized in every human heart, there is ample reason to believe that Obama could be severely depressed-- after half a lifetime of propagating immoral and degenerate political atrocities against innocent people.

Suicide would be a viable option except that he will have to be trapped in his bunker by Russian tanks overhead before he gives in to the inevitable.
