The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 22% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -19 (see trends).
Overall, 45% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) at least somewhat disapprove.

A slight tick up is all the guy is getting from both a ‘comeback’ jobs speech and the patriotism of the 9/11 milestone. If we see those numbers fade back at all towards the 22-24 range, he’s toast.

Side comment about the 9/11 Ceremony: take a look at this CSPAN video segment where they fold the flag. About a minute into the video, after they finish folding the flag, the camera cuts to Michelle and Barry, and from looking at her lips, you can see her mouthing to Barry "All this over a flag" in total disdain. Watch it before they pull it.

I have never understood how he can get a ‘tick” from anything like a 9/11 speech or other “patriotic” event. Most people see the evil bastard for what he is. Anyone getting a ‘toughy-feely, feel good tingle up their leg over seeing the phony bastard is a fool.

Overheard at the bank; There was a short line. Just one lady in front of me, an Asian lady who was trying to exchange yen for dollars. It was obvious she was a little irritated.

Same reason he's gotten a nice bump each January. People get a temporary optimism about the country and it translates into polling. Each January, people have gotten a momentary feeling that 'this year' we'll see recovery, and his numbers pop up. Purely emotional reaction. This slight bump today is not much, and not enough to change the election outcome. He's mostly gained SA from his base that likes the new attack mode on jobs.
At this point, although I support Bachman and Cain and like Perry, I will vote for WHOEVER the polls indicate would perform best against the Obamabastard.
The ESSENTIAL element here is to flush that bastard out of the White House, and despite the worry of Democrats, this bastard will be VERY hard to beat. And if he names another SCOTUS judge, its ALL OVER.
Watch that race in New York. Hope that Turner beats the Democrat. If he does and they loose that run off in Nevada, the rank and file Democrat office holders won’t be going out on a limb to support the Obamabastard in 2012.
