What is WRONG with Americans?????? THe guy is a phoney bastard.

Very true, he IS a phony bastard, but unfortunately, Americans in general don't regard issues through a conservative lens. Modern America likes government largesse far more than in the past.. chalk that up to indoctrination in schools, through the media and in popular culture. The ingrained assumption is: if the government is providing it, it must have some merit and therefore is a good thing.

Plus...no matter how PO'd Americans may be at Obama at any given moment, many still WANT to like and admire him, and will still fall in to support him next year.

This is one prime reason why rumors of Obama's political death are greatly exaggerated. Beating him in 2012 is still going to take an almost perfect campaign effort by the GOP nominee. IMO, a major break (e.g., a well-timed major scandal, etc) is also needed to work in our favor.

Not only does Obama have the evil forces of voter fraud, a fawning media and unions in his favor, a large portion of Americans aren't ready to give up on him yet.

there is sadly a strata of our electorate which is so mentally deficient that coming out and saying “I’m for Jobs!” will sway them.

Don’t think it will make an 0bama supporter turn against him/her.

Most of them think the same way as Moochelle,
or will make excuses for her and him and keep supporting them.

“Modern America likes government largesse far more than in the past.. chalk that up to indoctrination in schools, through the media and in popular culture.”

I totally agree. I grew up in the 1950s. I KNOW the changes that have occurred. Back then the educational system was pretty apolitical and actually tried to EDUCATE kids. Today they indoctrinate them with revisionist history and produce historical morons. Back then the media had both Republican and Democrat major news organs and even the Democrats were not so wedded to the far left as they are now.

As some reformed leftist once noted, in the 1960s the socialists and communists realized they couldn't yet take over under those brand names and so they took over the Democrat party lock stock and barrel. Since then, they have monopolized the media, news organs, entertainment industry and even - most recently - a large number of mainstream Christian churches.

Its very scary and you are also right. NO ONE should underestimate this bastard. Beating him in 2012 will be very difficult. I prefer Bachman and Cain with Perry as second choice, but when it comes to voting in a primary, I will vote for WHOEVER the polls indicate has the BEST chance of beating this bastard.

We CAN'T allow this guy to name one more SCOTUS judge.

Same reason he’s gotten a nice bump each January. People get a temporary optimism about the country and it translates into polling. Each January, people have gotten a momentary feeling that ‘this year’ we’ll see recovery, and his numbers pop up. Purely emotional reaction. This slight bump today is not much, and not enough to change the election outcome. He’s mostly gained SA from his base that likes the new attack mode on jobs.

That makes sense, ilgipper.

As for me and most others, the more we see him, the more we detest him.

I would like a deaf lip-reader to weigh in. What some people don’t seem to realize is that making accusations that are not true only makes one look foolish. There are plenty of provably true acts of near treason to point to.

I agree in all respects. I would be amazed if Michelle said anything positive about our country unless it was staged for the cameras to hatch her words either with sound or for lip readers, but I'd like to hear from an expert before I'm willing to accept that she actually said what anyone willing to marry Barack Obama would be thinking.
