Sarah Palin says she is not afraid to call out fellow Republicans when she thinks they have been "part of the problem." On Monday night, Palin accuses Republican candidate for President Rick Perry of engaging in "crony capitalism." Perry, as governor of Texas, mandated that young girls get a vaccination for the HPV virus in an executive order. Perry is criticized for this in part because of his connections to the drug manufacturer Merck.

I’m a Palin supporter. If she’s running she needs to enter the race and join the debate.
I don’t like the idea either but somehow I don’t think this one issue is enough to build a campaign for president around. Perry has said it was a mistake and it’s time to move on to a real issue.
By the way , the REAL title of this heavily edited Perry hit piece is “ Govt Waste and not “ Crony Capitalism “
Yea, I saw Bachmann kiss Romney and it did look strange but frankly, I do not remember her greeting to Perry.
I won't disagree with that, because I have no idea what is at the link for the video you are referring to.
I reproduced EXACTLY the title of the link I gave, which is to a written transcript, not a video. "Cut and Paste" style. Here it is again, see for yourself. Palin: The Problem With This Country Is People Are Afraid to Call Members of Their Own Party Out on 'Crony Capitalism' - Interviews - On the Record - Fox News [September 12, 2011]
Well, that makes Executive mandates OK, right, especially for the children? Well, if he somehow makes it to the White House, then he's going to have a jolly good time with Executive Orders.
Perry did not please the Tea Party on the Gardisil issue or on immigration.
That was the result of his own policy and had nothing to do with Bachmann or Palin. They didn’t make him do it.
That is why when we are choosing people for the nominee, we need to make sure that they have as little bad policy baggage possible. That also is a problem, a big one, for Romney.
Don’t fool yourself into the idea the dems won’t zero in on Perry over these issues.
Uh, no, it is not. If you go to the link provided, the title is exactly as it is posted here.
She teamed up with Romney back in January. We told you then but y'all ridiculed us. Now, the scales have finally fallen from your eyes.
I'd say "it depends." I can imagine misplaced trust and other issues being involved, so don't jump to blame the principal.
-- I think Perry opponents overstate the Gardasil matter ... but his supporters gotta stop the spin as well. --
My approach is to read the source evidence for myself, then I can figure out which posters are spinning. Most of the posts at FR are crap, as you appear to have figured out too ;-)
-- Palin is right, the revolving door between government and corporations is a big part of the mess we are in right now --
Yes, she is. I am much more impressed with her, than I am with Perry. I trust Palin. I do not trust Perry.
“Even more interesting considering the fact that Palin was a paid TV spokesperson for the company (Spenard) that got the contract to build the ice-rink to nowhere in Wasilla when she was mayor and other contracts when she was governor.”
Either provide something other than left-wing blog attacks for that claim or retract it.
Here is what I found:
http://alaskapride.blogspot.com/2009/07/governor-sarah-palin-rebuts-spenard.html
Because someone who can’t make a decision will not be a good leader. Period.
FReepers dont go to leftist websites for Fake info! Spenard is a building supply company, not a building contractor and Palin did a TV commercial for the company AFTER the Sports Rink was built and AFTER she was out of any office - Nice try though!
I'm wondering who you'll support in the primaries? I like Sarah Palin, but she's not a candidate, and if she runs, I don't think she'll win the nomination. Is Mitt Romney your default candidate, then?
“Thats interesting because Palin endorsed Perry after the Gardasil kerfuffle.”
Her endorsement of Perry for Governor doesn’t cloak his every sin.
At that time, no one to my knowledge had connected the dots of his former Chief of Staff Mike Tommey, the Merck lobbyist, who was pushing this Gardasil mandate through the Governor’s office.
Palin certainly can’t be expected to know every surreptitious arrangement that her endorsees (She had about 60 last cycle) have been engaged in. Had she known of Perry’s Merck connections, I seriously doubt she would have endorsed him or anyone else in Texas.
Presidential campaigns have a way of shining light on these dirty deals.
I think she is broke and her staff has left and she is getting desperate now.
Her smear on Perry on live TV was strange. She is helping Obama with her ridiculous attacks.
It’s not indecision, it’s strategy. Jeesh!
