Americans reject Tea Party ideas - Obama AFP September 13, 2011 1:22AM
PRESIDENT Barack Obama says the "vast majority" of Americans reject the ideas of the archconservative Tea Party movement.
"We've always had a anti-federal government bent in a chunk of our population. That's nothing new," Obama has told NBC News, referring to the anti-federal nature of the Tea Party, whose fervour swept in dozens of new Republican House of Representatives members in the 2010 mid-term elections.
Many of Obama's probable opponents in the next White House election, in 2012, also subscribe to that outlook, with frontrunner Texas Governor Rick Perry repeatedly vowing to get the national government out of people's lives.
"I do think that the extreme position that you hear that says government has no role to play in growing our economy, that the federal government has no function to play in building a strong middle class, is absolutely wrong," Obama said.
"I reject that view. And I think the vast majority of Americans reject that view."

Tea Party: Americans Reject n0bama
And I respectfully reject Obama’s view.
‘...that the federal government has no function to play in building a strong middle class, is absolutely wrong,” Obama said.’
What the heck would the government have to do with building a middle class, and how is it “extreme” to keep government out of our lives and - Do these people realize we already have a strong middle class that made America great and THEY are the ones strangling it with taxes and income redistribution?
Repeating the lie often enough with the help of his propaganda media will at least ring true with is idiot base and some of the rest of the dullard voting public; that is what he hopes for.
They didn’t reject those ideas in the last election.
Oh boy, it’s going to be ugly for Obama. They’re going to go to war against the tea party and will have as much success as going to war against any nameless, leaderless movement...NONE.
D’oh, I meant faceless not nameless. (skulking under some empty boxes.)
Whistling past the graveyard, methinks...
Delusion is not just a river in Egypt.

I’m sure he’s correct. He’s been right about everything so far, hasn’t he?
Sadly mistaken, by a large margin.
Yeah, Zero, that’s why your polls numbers are so freakin high.........
I must have missed those signs at the Tea Party rally. What I see are signs that say STOP SPENDING. More lies and misdirection out of the Liar in Chief.
