Newt Gingrich

Rick Santorum
Santorum served two terms in the U.S. House and two terms in the U.S. Senate. He became the Senate's third-ranking Republican in 2001. He was defeated for reelection in 2006.
Bachmann is done anyways. It's really down to Mitt, Perry, and Palin if she decides to get in.
I don’t blame them for participating, it’s the only time they ever get any coverage or anyone’s even aware they’re running.
If FOX was smart they’d make their debate on the 22nd in FL between Romney and Perry. Just the two of them. Right now, the nominee will be on eof them with Perry the strong favorite.
With all due respect, none of the others has a real chance.
So why waste time? Lets have a debate with the two top guys going at it so we can really get a feel and really let them make their case.
I’d suggest the ratings for a Perry Romney one-on-one on FOX would be the highest yet. Hopefully they do it. These 8 candidate debates are largely wastes of time.

With Palin moderating!
The bigger question is why Rumsfeld still had a sunscription to begin with?
I guess he was ok with the times ripping Bush, Cheny, himself, the GOP, conservatism in general, basically disagreeing with him on everything...and he still kept up a subscription until now?
I don’t think debates should have moderators at all. You should just have the candidates and let them argue with one another for 2 hours and make their case. They’re all grown ups, they’ll give each other time. Maybe you could have some referee or something who could keep track of time and let them know if someone hasn’t spoken in a while.
But as far as questions and content, I’d go no moderators. Just the candidates going back and forth.
DirecTV guide indicates it will be broadcast live and replayed several times.
Then at the end of the debate, Gov Palin says...I have heard all I need to hear from you 2 clowns, for the sake of my children/children’s children, I throw my hat in to the ring...I LIKE IT
Wolf Boitzed as a “moderator” is like having Tammy Fay Bakker as a make up consultant
That would be Wolf Blitzed for those of you in Rio Linda ;-)
And for those of you that actually USE spell check ;-)
brilliant
<cardinals v pirates>
Wolf: “I’ll take dumbarse Liberals for $500, Alex”
The debate format and commentators are themselves another battle front.
Why should conservatives hand over their microphone and message to the leftists in the MSM who ask a bunch of stupid questions and not only make themselves look stupid, but more importantly silence the message of the conservative candidates who have the answers for America and instead make them also look stupid and marginalized?
I think the conservative candidates with their head screwed on straight should band together and demand ground rules that include conservative moderators and questions that go the heart of the issues that threaten our country's future. They should also widely publicize these demands to the American people and figure out their own live video debate if they can't get cooperation.
I saw on a Drudge headlined news report that the guest (Perry spoke bout on his FB page) looks like it will be Jindal.
Govs Jindal and Perry must have forged a bond after the Katrina devastation. Texas willingly offered space to LA victims IIRC. They had to have been in close communication.
Glad to see Gov Jindal give his endorsement. He’s had his problems with the Marxist in the WH as well; particularly after the oil leak.
Thanks for the thread. Do we thin the heard tonight?
15 mins.
