History repeats itself. Russians came in as Jews were leaving in the ‘50s. Now the marxist in chief is on the same mission. His first overseas trip was to Cairo. He has visited Israel as president zero times. The US gives $ billions to Egypt. They would not trash the Israeli embassy without the green light from Omullah.
Of course Egypt is in anarchy.. it was planned this way. The fall of Mubarak initially brought jubilation, then uncertainty, more demonstrations and now the anarchy stage. Next up will be the Muslim Brotherhood, who will establish itself and gain popular backing as the one force that can establish order.. under strict sharia, of course.
Islamists are playing this like a fiddle. It worked for them in post-Soviet-occupation Afghanistan and Iran, following the fall of the Shah. And, unfortunately, it`ll probably play out that way after U.S. troops leave Iraq.
Oh come on..., they got rid of Mubarak. Everything is blissful and we all know it...

By the time Nov 2012 rolls around, both Europe and the Middle East will be basket cases, Iran will probably dominate Iraq, and the US Economy will still be a shambles with more debt than ever.
