Is it just me, or are the 9/11 commemorations oddly subdued?
Actually, I dont think its me, and its not really that odd.

Yes, the conscience of a liberal. Typical hatred and vile in a time when honoring others is the proper act today.
Compare Krugman’s opinion to Bush’s speech today and people know what is right and wrong.
Hey Krugman, wasn’t the leftie Rahm Emmanuel the one who said, “never let a good crisis go to waste”?
Conscience and Liberal in the same sentence is bad grammar.
Point taken. What threw me the most was the struggle to unionize the TSA that the left won. For the life of me I still can't see how that was necessary for homeland security or how it made air travel safer.
Mr. Krugman,
I just read your comments in your column, “The Years of Shame” (http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/09/11/the-years-of-shame/?smid=tw-NytimesKrugman&seid=auto). Are you insane, or just seriously that stupid? If you have “The Conscience of a Liberal”, I would think that it would be more likely “The LACK of Conscience of a Liberal”. The reason the celebrations are “oddly subdued” is because of the powers that be — your beloved liberal Mayor Bloomberg amongst them — have ordered that they be so. It wasn't that the PEOPLE wanted them so. America remembers, and America wants to celebrate the memory of those who were murdered that day.
Sir, some day you may realize that you are wrong to negate this date. You are wrong to assume that you — as a liberal — understand what this date means to others. “As a liberal” because it was not liberals who made America. It was not liberals who wrote the U.S. Constitution that made America the great nation that she is. It was not liberals who fought and died to make America the country that draws others to her in their heart's desire for freedom, for hope, for a future for their children and their children's children. Go to America and have all of that, they thought. Their dreams were not built on a liberal’s version of America. It was all on the backs of people like me: Christian Conservatives who made America. That, Sir, is why you will never understand today, nor much of anything else about America. You chose to be someone who does not understand her, appreciate her, nor want her to continue being America: Greatest Nation on Earth! I am so sorry for you.

Search is your friend.
Well, at least we know that Dick Obama and Krugman aren't fake -- they're GENUINE a-holes.
"Conscience of a Liberal." Pfft!
I did a search. I was hoping to find it to comment on it if it hadn’t yet been posted. I felt that we at FR needed to be aware of this snakes smug, all knowing, elitist vomitus.
Sorry if I made you mad. But I DID search.
Thank you.
The problem with MY search is that I put the title as presented in publication and expected that others would have done the same.
I guess it was remiss of me not to be more creative in thinking of changes to the title.
Sorry about that kiddo! LOL!
Kudos!
Unspeakable.
Distatsteful. Tacky, to say the least. I cannot even comment except to say pray this man gets a clue.
I have the conscience of a liberal...preserved on a microscope slide on my desk.
Readers' Comments The Years of Shame A poisoned memory. Comments are no longer being accepted.
The NY Slimes should be slammed against the wall for publishing this garbage - but to publish it on the 10th Anniversary of 911 is simply disgusting.
The word "outrage" is insufficient. This is criminal.
Sadly, this is typical drivel from Krugman.
The conscience of a liberal has liberal been documented:
"Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 in the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers."
The conscience of a liberal has already been documented:
"Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 in the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers."
The New York times attacks Americans on 9-11-11,
PHUCK YOU NY TIMES employees.
the conscience of a liberal
Isn’t that some kind of oxy-moron?
"Told of Mr. Rove's remarks, Senator Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of New York, replied: "In New York, where everyone unified after 9/11, the last thing we need is somebody who seeks to divide us for political purposes."
PHUCK you New York Times and each employee that works there.
