CNN and the Tea Party Express, along with more than 100 local tea party groups from every state across the country, will team up Monday, September 12 to present a first-of-its-kind debate from the site of the 2012 Republican National Convention: Tampa, Florida. Eight Republican presidential contenders will face questions from moderator and lead political anchor Wolf Blitzer during the two-hour event, which will air live on CNN from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. from the Florida State Fairgrounds. The debate will focus on a wide-range of topics, including the role, size and scope of government, with a specific emphasis on issue number one to tea party members and all Americans: the economy.

CNN/Tea Party? When is the Pravda/Heritage Foundation debate?
I am disgusted with “Republican” debates hosted by MSNBC/CNN. They aren’t debates, they are just nonstop hate attacks.
I also don’t have much use for whomever in the “Tea Party Express” is being paid by CNN to lend their name to this.
Wolff Blitzer represents the Tea Party Express?
Hmmm, is the Tea Party going to submit the questions, instead of allowing Blitzer free reign?
This sounds so made to order for Sarah Palin. Tea Party Express, Tampa, Fla. CNN. It was CNN that broadcasted Sarah’s Iowa speech. “.....you won’t be able to miss it.” Is something up?
Here's an idea: Have a reliably Conservative organization (Free Republic springs instantly to mind, of course) handle the presentation and format of the debate. Then broadcast it on a widely-available outlet such as EWTN, Daystar or Trinity.
Although I have no idea of the logistics that would be involved, it would result in an objective, intelligent debate instead of the sideshow we've seen thus far from the lamestream media. And, yes, that includes the horrific debacle from Fox and the snide Chris Wallace a few weeks ago.
Can you imagine the authentic understanding we'd discern about each candidate if Jim Robinson were to lead a hand-picked panel? Instead of the infotainment circus that we are subjected to, there would a real focus on the issues.
YTF is the Commie News network involved? ALL of their hosts have made disparaging remarks against the Tea Party? Whose idiotic idea was this?
I’m starting to think MSNBC and CNN know how 2012 is going to go. Not as stupid as I thought they were.
sleeping with the enemy....man what a stupid idea.. what do these guys think they are..Republican ruling elite
Right after the Granma/Hoover Institute debate -- in Havana. Fidel and Hugo will moderate.
And shame on the Tea Party Express for allowing CNN to choose who participates and who does not. Allowing Jon Huntsmann and Rick Santorum to debate while excluding Thad McCotter is WRONG.
CNN looking for a sound bite they can run for the whole campaign season
It’s so blatantly out there. Not one Republican should let them get away with their propaganda. They are nothing but a mouthpiece for 0bama and the Demonrat machine. Palin seems to be the only one who has dared to go there. Same old, same old.
We are living in the Twilight Zone.
Is there something wrong with that?
So the Sons of Bithches,Barbarians ,Terrorists,Hamas and Hobbitts will be appearing on CNN,Hey Obama heres your chance, send in Seal Team 6, you can round them up in one fell swoop!
