For the political geeks amongst us who enjoy this kind of stuff. :)
Mark said because of this stress, Ann has ______________. Mark said there have been a few other times when Ann will ___________________ because of stress.
My imagination is running wild.
(Please check for errors)
IIRC, this is about the conservative supreme court judge in Wisconsin who recently won his election against the Lib. He was accused of assaulting the Chief Justice (a dem) by choking her. The lib blogs went nuts. So now it turns out (according to police) he was defending himself?
ROTFLMAO
Don’t hold your breath waiting for the apologies.
Can you please give those of us who have not been following this drama a quick rundown so we don’t have to read a 70 page police report? I understand Prosser was accused of choking Bradley. What happened next?
How about a sum-up for us geeks who don’t enjoy adobe kind of stuff?
The first rule of Wisconsin Supreme Court Fight Club is don’t talk about Wisconsin Supreme Court Fight Club.
Let's play "fill in the blanks":
Mark said because of this stress, Ann has been drinking like a Badger frat boy . Mark said there have been a few other times when Ann will fire a doob while listening to Dark Side of the Moon because of stress.
BTTT!
I may need a new keyboard after my coffee-through-the-nose incident!
There are some interesting personalities in that office. It also definitely seems like there are two war camps battling.
Bottom line is Bradley charged Prosser with a raised fist. She sounds like a real jerk.
The way I understand it is Bradley went into a rage over something Prosser said and flew at him. He put out his hands to hold her off, there was no choking or strangling going on. I also understand there are several witnesses who swear to this. Don't know if there is a video. She evidently has a history of physical violence against those she disagrees with(typical liberal).
sounds like my son’s first wife. The screaming I heard was unreal....
The 100 pager includes a diagram, handwritten notes, and some other goodies.
And what Prosser said was directed at Abrahamson, not at Bradley. Bradley inserted herself.
After the act of intimidation, Bradley publicly accused Prosser of choking her - a basic false and damaging testimony.
Either one of those failures in character should be sufficient to call for her removal.
I haven’t had time to read the police report yet either, but I’ll tell you what I know from reading all the previous reports. The issue on the docket was whether the State Senate had acted properly by approving the Budget Repair Bill (with its associated roll-back in Union negotiating rights) before the missing Senators had returned. The issue was a claim that the Senators had not given proper notice of their meeting and the Supreme Court was to decide the question.
The urgency was that all the school districts and municipalities were getting ready to announce their contracts and to decide their budgets. Everything in this state had been held in Limbo for a couple of months already. Announcement of the final decision had been postponed while Justrice Prosser had undergone a re-election campaign and a recount promulgated by friends of Abrahamson and Bradley.
The Supreme Court had decided in favor of the Senate — that they had acted properly. I think the vote was 5-3. Now the question was when the SC would announce this decision which Ann Bradley and Chief Justice Abrahamson had opposed? The longer they stalled, the more Union contracts could be rushed through the municipalities and school boards in advance of when the law would take effectand to the detriment of the budgets.
The Supreme Court had decided that they were going to announce their decision on a particular day, or so Prosser thought. As I understand it, Justice Prosser (a small, slight man) was seated (at the bench? at a desk? not sure) when he heard CJ Abrahamson say that she wasn’t ready to announce their decision (which she opposed) at this time. She wanted to wait longer. All of the Justices were present, except Patrick Crooks (the 3rd vote in opposition) who had already left the room.
Justice Prosser had his hands together, laying on the desk or bench in front of him (palms together, as in prayer) and his head lowered. He started to say to the CJ, “Shirley, Shirley, people are going to be really upset at this delay...” (paraphrasing).
All of a sudden, Justice Bradley came around the bench and charged him. My understanding is that she is taller, but he was seated anyway, so it doeesn’t matter who is taller. As she towered over him, screaming, she was repeatedly jabbing in the air at him with a clenched fist that was holding her glasses. Her message was that he should not called the Chief Justice by her first name — that it was disrespectful. He sat up and put his hands out to ward her off, thereby colliding with her body which was being propelled forward in anger. In so doing, he touched her neck, or her collarbone.
Bradley immediately changed her message and started screaming at the other justices. “Look at this, he tried to choke me.” A 4th justice(Peg Roggensack) puled Bradley off of Prosser and said, “Ann, that’s just not like you. Stop it.”
Diana, how’d I do?
Understood. Here’s a blog with the highlights:

Specifically, Bradley said that he was “putting me in a chokehold”. Since my understanding is that a chokehold is applied from behind. I wonder how Bradley is qualified to decide cases at the SC level if she doesn’t know what a chokehold is?
She also hit another justice in the back of the head with her fist because he called CJ Abrahamson by her first name in a casual meeting a coupe of years ago.
See Post #17. :)

Let’s lock Justice Bradley in her chambers and play this on an endless loop, LOL!
