'An ill wind is blowing': Now even PROSECUTOR says Foxy Knoxy will be freed (Amanda Knox)

A prosecutor in the Amanda Knox appeal case has said 'an ill wind is blowing in the case' as she predicted the American would be acquitted of the murder of Meredith Kercher.

Manuela Comodi, who is one of two prosecutors involved in the appeal of Knox against her conviction for the murder of student Meredith, 21, said she was convinced the American would be freed.

Comodi made her comments just hours before the appeal hearing resumed today, with prosecutors and defence lawyers again contesting crucial DNA evidence.

Knox, 24, is serving 26 years for the murder of Meredith, 21, who was found with her throat slashed and semi naked in the bedroom of the house she shared with her and two other women in November 2007.

Her former boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 27, was also convicted of murdering and sexually assaulting Meredith and he is serving 25 years with both claiming they had nothing to do with the killing.

Comodi said: 'There is an ill wind blowing in this case.

'The judge and his assistant are clearly against us. I can see both Knox and Sollecito being freed which will be a shame as they are both involved.'

I don’t know much about this case, but Italian is and always has been a den of corruption.

Now will she have to hire protection like that one chick who was found not-guilty of killing her daughter in Florida?

I just scanned the excerpt above and wondered if it was that girl convicted in Italy. Interesting.

I doubt it. I'm not sure this one did it. Everyone knows Casey Anthony did it.

Protection from all the guys that want to hit it, maybe.

no, because unlike Anthong Knox didn’t kill anyone. But she will need need protection because the overly passionate Italians have already been sold on her guilt by the very corrupt prosecutor. BTW, is he in jail yet?

Foxy Knoxy? Maybe to a 60 year old virgin. How did this pathetic name get started?

*Someone* called the girl. Truth is being covered up. IMHO she is at least partially responsible. She’s getting off on what is essentially a technicality.

The facts of a murder don’t fade with time; however trumped up charges and corruption do not tolerate time very well. If she is released, this speaks volumes about the ineptness of the police in Italy.

Perhaps they are not familiar with fingerprints, or DNA, or forensic sciences? They either had a case, or they did not.

I believe Knox was railroaded.

This witch Comodi reminds me of Mike Nifong.

Really? No evidence of her or ex-boyfriend in the room where the victim was killed.

A technicality? I don’t think so.

With all the media attention and her looks my guess is she will be on every talk show and have a couple of book deals within days of her return to the US. She will have more than enough money to hire bodyguards......

Her DNA was not present at the murder scene as I understand it. If true, how is that a technicality?

No, you had it right the first time. It's "Italian" that has all that corruption and stuff in it ~ and the handsigns to supplement the depth and strength of the meanings.

There are actually some nice people in Italy ~ but it's the language Fur Shur, then there's Sicilian!

And the "technicality" is........ that she didn't kill the other girl perhaps?

That's always a good "technicality".

Or, do you think the fact the Appeals Court is reviewing the evidence is a "technicality"?

"This is ITALY" (as the chief judge pushes you off into the pit).

Knox didn’t kill anyone.

I wouldn't go that far. There is maybe not evidence sufficient to convict her, but she sure as heck acted in a suspicious manner in the 12 hours after the murder.
