Upthread - and other threads - I’ve posted that I was evacuated from the Bastrop fires.

I was at Bastrop State Park when the first responders arrived. I was at “Ground Zero”, if you please.

I’m not going to elaborate with you, but trust me. I have been affected by what happened to me Sunday.

But that’s just me. Let’s all get back to bashing Perry for attending/not attending the debates, shall we?

You can question the man's understanding of fire intensity without having been a Texan or an evacuee.

After all, your situation has nothing to do with his understanding.

Sorry to hear about your experience with the fires in Bastrop. The photos are heartbreaking. We can smell the smoke up here now. Prayers for all involved with the TX fires.
