Tim Scott Hosts Gov. Rick Perry Live
Be sure to slide the volume up on the video.
Unless you're a political hack... or work for the New York times.
LMAO
Says everybody in the GOP primary are all good people, but none have the record of job creation that he has.
Mentions Romney not by name as not having created jobs in Mass when he was governor.
We have a track record. You cannot argue that we haven’t created the best business environment for big states in Texas.
Rick quotes Mrs Perry: “On Sunday morning you won’t see my husband playing golf. He’ll be in church.”
YOW-WEE! Wonder if Barry’s rather large ears are burning?
Now answering a question about God in the schools.
I will be proud to sign the national day of prayer, and will actually BE THERE.
His wife said: “On Sunday morning, you won’t see my husband playing golf, he’ll be in church”
next question, about SS cost of living and the fed ruining our money.
Have to have a federal reserve that is transparent. Can’t have Bernanke using bad monetary policy to cover up bad fiscal policy.
One way to bring down cost of energy and food is to expand our domestic production of energy.
It all goes back to “don’t spend all the money”, and to free up the entrepeneurs from overtaxation, and overregulation.
Will be in church on Sunday — not on the golf course.

BTW — I saw “Seven Days in Utopia” yesterday.
Great movie. Robert Duval film made in Texas Hill country.
84-year old guy: We don’t need any more Bushes; we need you.
[lol]
WRap-up.
I love this country. I think our best days are ahead of us. I think the greatest stories in the annals of america are still in front of us. But they will only occur if we do over the next 14 months what is required. But it’s going to be a hard slog.
I think this country is worth sacrificing for. ...
I want to ask you for your support. I want to say thank you, God bless you, and through you, may God continue to bless this united states of america.
CA has had legislative term limits for 20 years. I can tell everyone it’s not worked out as we hoped.
OK, post-talk wrap-up. First, I wish I had gotten to this thread earlier. Second, I believe he speaks just a little slower than Palin — I say that because when I try to do transcripts from Palin speeches, I can’t keep up nearly as well as I can keep up when Perry is speaking.
Anyway, what I heard I liked. I think I agreed with everything he said, even when his answers weren’t the standard “conservative” answers. For example, I agree with him that required term limits entrench the staff that stays around, and if we want to limit someone’s term, we should just not keep re-electing them.
I'm convinced that we just watched the next President of the United States.
He’s my guy.
Perry for President.
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.
Also, it’s a shame he’s not going to be able to make DeMint’s event, because I have a feeling he would have knocked their socks off as well.
Rick Perry did so well...and the people of SC love him.
Rick Perry is going straight back to Texas because of the awful wild fires just down the road from Austin. He ask everyone to pray for rain and those in the path of this fire!!!
I wish I knew that Tim Scott was holding this townhall. I could have gone.
Tim Scott is my Congressman, I am VERY proud of him.
It is a shame. I was totally looking forward to the South Carolina event.
Despite the fact that it had the potential to be a major boon to his campaign, he's dropping out to actually do his job as governor.
Maobama would have gone golfing or something.
It has held at a school or college.
Mine too! Can’t wait for the debate this week.
Thanks for the live thread.
