Read your huge post, and my best advice for you is to join up with the nearest O4P and do everything you can to help Sarah become president.
That’s the one. That’s the flag that represents the America I know. The US flag gets stuck on all sorts of things that don’t look or act like the America I know, but only a free man will fly the Gadsden.
Nan, if you've got anyone nearby who is computer-fluent, have them help you find a good (free) video downloading tool online, so that you can burn some DVDs of Sarah's speech.
Should take a computer savvy person maybe an hour tops, to help you get the video downloaded and some DVDs burned.
She said that she would run an unconventional campaign, and she's obviously doing just that. Some folks either didn't hear her say that, or simply can't believe she'd really do it.
Her political instincts are far above normal. She's a natural born fighter who knows how to read a battle and do what's necessary to vanquish her opponents.
Frankly, I don't think those who are running against her stand a chance. They're all using the same worn out 20th century playbook, and none are playing the game anywhere near her level of expertise.
The next 14 months are going to be some of the most interesting and exhilarating of our lives, thanks to one Sarah Palin.
Check the video. Plenty of folks were waving Gadsden flags today.
Saw that quote from her speech on another thread.
Gadsen flags were everywhere. Watch Sarah work the rope line. They may not have been on stage, but the crowd was TEA PARTY
I need to find a transcript of her speech today. She said so many memorable things, that I’m having trouble figuring out which is my favorite.
One of the best zingers of the day was, “Polls are for strippers and cross-country skiers.” That one got a rise out of everyone, but she made an excellent point in that zip file of a statement.
I was very impressed with the way she went straight after Obama, the crony capitalists, big government corruption, and candidates who lie down with huge money donors. Ronald Reagan is the only other politician I’ve ever seen with her sort of guts.
I was in shock when I saw that C-SPAN was airing this.
I’ve watched it a couple of times already. It’s GREAT!!!
I’ve been in a kind of “wait and see” mode but there really isn’t any one else. Romney? puke. Perry? More of the same, I do not trust him one single bit.
I just would like to hear a bit more of her positions on specifics.
She really strikes me as the only one to fight the cesspool in DC and that INCLUDES almost all the Rs. She’s not a DC insider and that is a HUGE HUGE plus.
The electric moment was when she said “Here’s my plan....”
And proceeded to lay out 5 points that kicked ass, one of which was zero corporate tax (and zero corporate subsidy or loophole)
She moved the ball past all the contenders.
Oh, I just saw there was bagpipe music.
That seals the deal - I love bagpipes!
:-)
I’ve supported Palin since she was picked to be the VP in 2008. Since then, the only time I’ve really argued against her on this board was when she complained about the use of the word “retarded” in a political context. I am vehemently opposed to trying to ban words from our political conversation, especially when people know what is meant.
Realise that after the 2008 election, there was not much need for another person defending her, she’s got a lot of supporters. I did some arguing in the McCain endorsement threads, and a couple of other threads. I’ve never said anything against her possibly candidacy.
Of course, I can support multiple candidates, until we reach my state’s primary. So I’ve defended Bachmann, and more recently, Perry. Plus, I decided this year that I was going to always have at least one announced candidate I was considering, because of the Thompson thing from 2008. For a while that was Bachmann, and now I’m considering Perry.
But I’ll always have a place in my heart for Sarah Palin. Even if she doesn’t run for President, she’ll be a major force in our 2012 triumph, and her plan could well shape the election. She might get dozens of representatives and senators elected ALL endorsing her plan, meaning she’ll have dozens of votes; a candidate can only have one vote.

The Undefeated this evening on PPV.
The Revolution has begun. . . Spread the word. .
The Tea Party movement is exponentially growing and we have just begun to fight!
What are you talking about? You’re a regular and consistent nitpicker re: Palin—and supporter of Perry.
Well, she laid out the beginnings of her specific plan of action today, and every point was revolutionary. Not a single other candidate can touch what she laid down today. All they can do is gulp and follow her lead.
You're sure to hear lots more from her on specific issues very soon.
She moved the ball past all the contenders.
You can bet they're all sitting up tonight with their campaign managers, wondering how they're going to deal with THAT.
They'll all try to think of something that SOUNDS good, but none of them will get in step with Sarah and have the courage to actually conceive of how to move the ball even one more yard.
