I wanted to dreadfully suggest an historic article to friends, relatives, business men and women, investors, workers, and pretty much anyone and everyone who can still read English yet, for a week there was no time. No time, as, while being in Las Vegas among hordes of pie in the sky technologists forecasting a bright and brilliant future as much as 2001 A Space Odyssey predicted in 1968 what the world would be in 2001, day and night there was simply not an opportunity as time took away even a descent lunch. Strangely, all the pontification took place in a setting surrounded by gamblers.
In one way, it was almost like the last days during the pull out of Vietnam.
It weighed upon my mind. Then finally, I returned home.
Please, take the time to read the following article. Every American. It is simple, straight to the point, and historic. Keep a copy for yourself. Look back at it a year later. Please consider it. It is an historic moment. It doesnt matter that it is simple, straight to the point and more pertinent, that it is obvious. That is the very reasons it is historic, a marker in time.
The OPINION section of the September issue of Fortune Magazine. The article is Politicians need to Face Harsh Realities about the U.S. Jobs Crisis by Nina Easton.
The rules of the forum prevent posting the entire article in the event of violating publishing rights. But let me just example one outtake, please:
Getting the unemployed re-employed isnt just about economic growth. There are now 6.2 million Americans (more than 44% of the unemployed) who have been out of work for more than a year and are dead last on any list of employers seeking to fill positions. These are people whose skills have rusted in a fast-paced global economy, along with twentysomethings who havent even developed the habit of work. We risk losing a generation of men and women who wont be able to find meaningful employment ever again.
This is what Obama has done to us. And, I see it happening. I spit on this man.
We are now in the Russian Front. Like the German forces into Russia repeating the same formula of quick rotational cycles of strikes which were effective against small specific targets, a specific city, an isolated metropolis, but which repeating the same formula across a wide crescent became obviously ineffective to everyone, and yet inveterate and repetitive for lack of any ideas from the leadership, so America is now descending into the woodlands of a cold front, inveterate and repetitive in resolve and formula, ever deeper, ever wider into the cold front, and with the resulting depleted resources and lack of supplies. It will now be the lack of supplies that will kill us. The formula is depleting the supplies. And then there will be no supplies. Even the best Junkers will be without petrol. You have surrounded a city, but the enemy is still out there, and the enemy within. The seige will collapse. The cordon will have no powder. You simply run out of bullets in this kind of game. It wont even be a war, anymore. The ingrained leadership will all commit suicide. By then though, the war is over.
The answer is new leadership, and very, very soon. Or the war is over. The consequences are serious. And then, all it will take is one more crises which can come from nature, the sky, from anywhere and then it will be more than serious. Do not think there will be the government coming to save you this time. Lack of supplies. You will be all alone on the Russian Front.

Women AND men in the media do that to stay on tv. Brit Hume also looks pretty good for 68.
They also prevent recovery, since alcoholics and heroin addicts are eligible for “benefits”.
Anything you want we got it right here in the USA-- Chuck Berry
“”Employers who complain that they cant find qualified workers - Utter BS!””
You’re not paying attention. Employers in the manufacturing sector have been on the news recently emphasizing this very problem.
One company in MI has 200 openings to fill and is unable to find anyone qualified. That company said if someone comes in the door with skills and qualifications, they hire them on the spot even if they don’t have an opening for their particular skills at that time.
It IS a big problem and one we can thank the public school system for. Manufacturing jobs have been stigmatized and young people would rather go without jobs than LOWER themselves. I suppose “public service” is more rewarding but I guess they can’t find work in that field either.
They could always go to college, run up debts, attend law school and then they could run for president. No experience OR SKILLS necessary.
One company in MI?
"Michigan's unemployment rate will top 15% through 2011, U-M economic forecast says"
What company? I smell pure BS
"Darlene Miller, CEO of Permac Industries in South Burnsville, Minn., said the days are long gone when a new hire could learn how to operate machinery on the job. Miller said she would add another half-dozen workers to her payroll of 38 workers if she could find people skilled at operating the high-tech equipment she recently purchased to boost productivity.
"We just can't afford to take the time and the money to hire and someone to just shadow someone else and learn hands-on," she said. "The equipment is just too high-tech to do that."
Miller is a member of President Barack Obama's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, which recently announced a goal of turning out an additional 10,000 American engineers annually by leaning on the private sector to boost university funding, add internships and create other incentives.
"These are the jobs of the future. These are the jobs that China and India are cranking out," Obama said in a visit to a Durham, N.C., lighting factory last week. "And were falling behind in the very fields we know are going to be our future."

sounds like a good article.
Nina’s husband is an advisor to Mitt Romney.
Thanks for the ping.
That’s it! That’s the article. Thanks for the link, I did look for it on the internet (I only had the magazine copy) but no luck.
Ya, I knew that after I hit the post button. I was just typing away, but I did spot it after it posted. Anyway, thanks.
You know, I use to fax him and have the honor of him reading some of my glibs back in the KSFO days very early on when he knew me as "Brian of Bishop Ranch". Anyway, I know folks rip him a lot, but he was one of the pioneers of conservative talk radio, and his voice was SO WELCOMED when he initially aired on KGO and then moved to KSFO (belly of the beast) ... folks would turn up the volume of their car radios to drive the libs NUTS in S.F. ...
He actually read an ENTIRE post of mine one time, "The Democratic Party is a Cult" (early 1990's). He would take to the time to consider the thoughts of his listeners (even though he would scream and shout a lot during his broadcast, whe was actually a real soft heart, a wonderful soul - AND HE STILL IS!) ...
I say, he should be appreciated more for his HISTORIC contributions to the voice of conservative talk radio, a long with one of the very early contributors Dr. Stuart McBirnie and the "Voice of Americanism" out of Glendale California.
I am getting old now, but we were called "Anti-Communists". Not sure if any of you young folks know what that means, and how hard we fought for America, and later for Ronald Reagan. Anyway ...
Interesting, thanks for the info.
Awesome and I do know what an anti-communist is. Thanks and let’s keep fighting communism in any form.
