On Laura Ingraham's show, Dick Cheney gave this barbed answer on whether Sarah Palin was the right choice for vice president in 2008:
Well Ive never gotten around the question of her having left the governorship of Alaska midterm. Ive never heard that adequately explained so that I could understand why, how she decided in her first term to step down and still beId like to know more about that.

Legitimate Question.
Makes me think of the Geico commercial of living under a rock......
for later
How is that a shot?
I like Cheney a lot, however, Palin did explain this. And some of it explains itself. Daily lawsuits costing her everything from money to reputation covers it for me.
The answers are there, he just hasn't bothered to listen to them. If he doesn't agree with the answers, that's one thing, but to pretend that it hasn't been addressed at all simply exposes his own ignorance on the subject.
Okay, I was under the impression the Veep was smarter and better-informed than that. No?
—Legitimate Question.—
I don’t think it is, at least at this point. The explanation she has given is pretty clear and detailed. I suspect Cheney is either ignorant of it or has ulterior motives for bringing it up.
Even I understand why she had to quit.
I think Cheney’s heart problem has caused issues with oxygen getting to his brain... for at least the last decade.
Either she was a good pick in 2008 or not.
That she stepped down as Governor of Alaska AFTER the election doesn't really have any bearing upon if she were a good pick or not.
I heard the interview, and it wasn’t a shot. It was the only thing he said about Governor Palin during the entire interview. He sounded sincere in saying that he doesn’t know why she stepped down, and he’d like to understand more about it.
I’d say that either Dick Cheney is either woefully ignorant of the situation and has not done his homework, and therefore probably should have kept his trap shut until he had done his own investigation or, he just another member of the GOP Elite, scared to death of a candidate they cannot control.
Legit question? Well maybe. But it’s been answered.
Here, I answered it the day it happened:

The answer has stood the test of time. Mr. Cheney, read it.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....you areone funny guy.
Very disappointing from Cheney.
Even if he doesn’t know the very legitimate reasons for Governor Palin’s resignation, to even put it out there as a “concern” for her future ability to serve, sets off some warning signals about where his priorities lie.
