DES MOINES, Iowa -- Though she won't be a candidate when she delivers a major address at a tea party rally in Iowa on Saturday, Sarah Palin will make it clear that she if enters the presidential race later this month she will vociferously challenge Texas Gov. Rick Perrys engrained image of solidarity with the tea party movement.
In her speech at the bucolic National Balloon Classic field in Indianola, Palin will lean on loaded phrases like crony capitalism and permanent political class in laying out her view of the U.S. political systems deep-rooted ills, according to a source close to Palin and familiar with the content of the speech.
Though she will not call Perry out by name, Palins carefully couched rhetoric will leave the impression that she may soon draw more overt attention to one of the Texans potential vulnerabilities as a candidate: his history of doling out plum positions and other benefits to generous campaign donors during his nearly 11-year tenure as the nations longest serving governor.

Totally agree but i also think we agree that when Palin nails this speech the MSM media will be falling over themselve’s to paint this as an attack on Perry as it will fit perfectly into thier narrative. .....and Palins? :)
Why? Because the MSM says so?
If she gets in now, she and Perry split the vote and we wind up with Romney.
Please. When does fear EVER make a rational decision?
Did Obama Administration Cut Corners For a Green Energy Company?
The Obama administration bypassed procedural steps meant to protect taxpayers as it hurried to approve an energy loan guarantee to a politically-connected California solar power startup, ABC News and the Center for Public Integrity's iWatch News have learnedThe Energy Department in March 2009 announced its intention to award Solyndra Inc. a $535 million loan guarantee before receiving final copies of outside reviews typically used to vet such deals. ...
The loan guarantee, the administration's first for a clean energy project, benefited a company whose prime financial backers include Oklahoma oil billionaire George Kaiser, a "bundler" of campaign donations. Kaiser raised at least $50,000 for the president's 2008 election effort. ...
Several political allies of the president have ties to companies receiving Energy Department loans, grants or loan guarantees. ...
That's from May and as we know Solyndra Inc. just went into bankruptcy.
She has no staff, no fundraisers, etc., and it takes this in all 50 states. She has none of this and cannot mount a credible campaign to become president.
I know, I know, people on here think she walks on water and doesn't have to play by the same rules others have to use but in REALITY (there's that word again) in the end, she still must have in place the same things others need.
Time is running out--it's a fact. She has too much ground to cover and this kind of speech does nothing to help close that gap.
So he’s not Governor of Texas any more?
She just hates that Sarah is a grandma tooo.....lol
Substance? Get serious, granny. You're just a PDS troll, pimping for somebody!

"... We need to get this economy moving again, and the real stimulus weve been waiting for is domestic energy development. We must reduce our dangerous dependence on foreign oil by responsibly developing natural resources here. This will provide good paying jobs, reduce our trade deficit, increase federal and state revenue, ensure environmental standards, and actually stimulate our economy without incurring any debt. Thats real stimulus! Affordable, plentiful, and secure energy is the foundation of every thriving economy. Lets make it the foundation of ours. Lets do the opposite of President Obamas manipulation of U.S. energy supplies. Lets drill here, build refineries, and stop kowtowing to foreign countries in asking them to ramp up energy production which makes us even more beholden to them as we rely on their foreign product. Lets move on tapping our massive domestic natural gas reserves. Natural gas is the perfect bridge fuel to a future when more renewable sources are available. Its clean, its green, and weve got a lot of it. Lets drill. Lets build an infrastructure for natural gas cars and power plants. Energy development can help kick start our economic engine.
In addition to energy security, I embrace a pro-growth agenda that can make American corporations far more competitive on the global stage. (I will be writing more about this in the coming days.) We need to tell the world, America is open for business again! And lets welcome industry by reducing burdensome regulations. The Obama administration keeps strangling businesses in red tape. From the EPAs rulings to that nightmare known as Obamacare, the Obama administration is hanging one regulatory albatross after another around the private sectors neck. Lets get government out of the way and give the private sector room to breathe, grow, and thrive. We can provide businesses confidence to expand and hire Americans in a stable environment.
Be wary of the efforts President Obama makes to fix the debt problem. The more he tries to fix things, the worse they get because his solutions always involve spending more, taxing more, growing government, and increasing debt. This debt problem is the greatest challenge facing our country today. Obviously, President Obama doesnt have a plan or even a notion of how to deal with it. His press conference today was just a rehash of his old talking points and finger-pointing. Thats why he cant be re-elected in 2012.
Our economic news is disheartening and the task before us can seem daunting, but we must not lose our sense of optimism. People look around today and may see only the negative. They see a culture and a nation in decline, but thats not who we are! America must regain its optimistic pioneering spirit again. Our founders declared that we were born the heirs of freedom. We are the heirs of those who froze with Washington at Valley Forge, who held the line at Gettysburg, who freed the slaves, carved a nation out of the wilderness, and allowed reward for work ethic. We are the sons and daughters of that Greatest Generation who stormed the beaches of Normandy, raised the flag at Iwo Jima, and made America the strongest and most prosperous nation in the history of mankind. By God, we will not squander what has been given us!
Our destiny is still in our own hands if we pick ourselves up and act responsibly and quickly. We must all get involved. Concerned Americans must seek truth, work harder than ever, and be willing to sacrifice today to ensure freedom tomorrow. Please get engaged in 2012 electoral politics and support experienced, vetted, pro-free market fiscal conservatives who will dedicate all to preserving our Republic and protecting our Constitution."

Elect Sarah Palin for President 2012
Re-Elect President Sarah Palin 2016
I would hope Palin will focus on the enemy, and not on our own. Perry is the best of the bunch, warts and all, so it’d be best to keep after Obama, not our guy.
Know kidding !
Palin,is the type of person that can rip you from head to toe and when she’s done you’re obliged to say thank you.
She will set the tone of this election in or out.
According to who? The press? Why are you letting them lead you around? The election is Nov 2012, NOT Nov 2011. Candidates have till the end of October to declare. And yet I see a of posters buying what the MSM is selling. They have story after story on Palin, all of them negative about her not declaring on THEIR timeline and some FReepers fall right in line.
Yeah right.
How do YOU know that? Because it wasn't in the press? Palin tells the press NOTHING. EVER. So YOU know NOTHING.
You're too late. There's already roving mob of "Palin supporters" doing just that.
Did Perry promise not to run for President if re-elected? Is he running for President? What does that make him?
Oh yeah, that’s what the counmtry and the GOP really need—another free-spending Texan, but this one more corrupt abvout his cronies!
(I think not...)
He’s the best candidate in the race.
I wish she’d announce one way or the other but your analysis is unfair.
- She quit as Gov because the lawsuits were bankrupting her and making it impossible for her to govern.
- her show had very high ratings. Did it occur to you that maybe she didn’t want to do another series because, shock, she’s not a hollywood twit.
- her books have been best sellers
- millions of people have attended her appearances
How much is perry paying you?
She just hates....
And all of that hatred will NOT make any Palin supporter turn to Perry. It is a turn off. CGG is alienating the very people that she wants to support Perry. And doing it well!
No, when one of the journalists she trusts quotes sources “close to Palin” you can trust them.
