Justice's New War Against Lenders
The Obama administration repeats mistakes of the past by intimidating banks into lending to minority borrowers at below-market rates in the name of combatting discrimination.

Talk about not learning from past mistakes: A government department is again intimidating banks into lending to minority borrowers at below-market rates, all in the name of combating "discrimination." Welcome to the next housing mess.
The 1990s may have brought us supercharged politicized lending, but Eric Holder's Department of Justice is taking the game to an entirely new level, and then some. The weapon is a "fair lending" unit created in early 2010, led by special counsel Eric Halperin and overseen by Civil Rights Division head Thomas Perez.

Oh, I think they fully understand what happened, and really don’t care, because the “right people” got freebies and the “right people” got screwed.
13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...
"...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the 'others' come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...'

not lending= “redlining”
lending= “predatory lending”

If the Republicans take the Senate and the Presidency in 2012, whole departments of the Federal Government need to be jettisoned and then those that are essential need to be rebuilt from scratch. That will be the only way to clean out all the rot that Democrats have funded since they took over the budget in 2006, and the only way to ensure that all of the leftists placed in power by the Obama administration are truly gone from power.
Otherwise, they will just dig into their little fiefdoms and continue to undermine our system from within, waiting for the next Democrat administration to re-emerge, stronger than ever.
The only way to defeat the Left is to completely defund it. Money, our money, is its lifeblood, and cutting the money flow off is essential.
You are dead on, bravo!
Interesting. I have the Dec. 27, 1993 article by Robert Stowe England “Assault on the Mortgage Industry” by the Clinton Administration on file if anybody wants to see this isn’t a new move by the Democrats at all.
Unfortunately I can no longer give a link as the article seems to have disappeared from the National Review archives a couple of years ago.
I’d post it, but it’s five pages, quite lengthy, and detailed.
