Francesca Rice no longer serves in her countrys armed forces, but she brought a piece of the action back home with her.
It seems the Lakewood vet had stockpiled her Edgewater Towers condo with a home arsenal including handguns, shotguns, a sniper rifle plus a Thompson sub-machine gun, just in case the pizza guy got fresh.
Her cache somehow caught the attention of Lakewood Police, who paid a visit last September. When they found Rice wasnt home, they asked an obliging employee of the complex to open up the apartment without her consent. Once inside, they raided the gun rack, making off with 13 firearms worth around $15,000. The only problem: They had no apparent reason to.

If this is Ms Rice then definitely not guilty, but would Laz "hit it?"
What is a “Springfield .45 Makarov”. Either that is two guns or she had something very rare that I have not heard of.
That is what a lot of us have been saying.
Great attitude!
Why? It is completely legal to own, not particularly expensive to obtain the "permit" to exercise your God-given right (a part of the problem), and the M1928 or M1A1 is not particularly expensive (about $7000), compared to more modern fully-automatic weapons. I know women who own fully-automatic weapons, one of whom owns an M2. My completely legal MAC-10 cost only $3900 with a suppressor (also completely legal). Your assertion is silly.
There used to be an old saying,”There is one in every crowd” and another, “There is one in every outfit”.
I believe that there is a semi-auto version of the Thompson avalable.
Of course, if you expect ACCURACY of coverage of firearms by the media, you're being overly optimistic. Remember...ALL firearms are lethal street-sweeper full auto sniper rifels to them.
Naw...it’s just the author of this typically slanted article, and how she imagines herself...*just in case the pizza guy got fresh.*

One way to stop this nonsense would be to elect a President who would put in place an AG and Justice department that would go after cops like this for civil rights violations.
Yeah, but if she’s single...
There’ll be a lot of FReeper men who wouldn’t mind getting to know her...to assist her with weapon maintenance, of course...
I'm sure they are. My point was that I doubted there was (and there actually isn't) any Thompson sub-machine gun in her collection.
Sorry....I must retract that. I just re-read the listing of her collection.
Read John Ross' "Unintended Consequences" for thoughts pertaining to your question and a possible solution.
From my cold, dead hands.
A good vintage Thompson is $30K to $40K.
Best book ever!
The Thompson, alone, is worth about $15-20k. There are semi versions. And, anyone feel free to correct me, but if he Thompson was a handed down to her from a family member, who had it before the ATF started controlling stuff like that, then there’s no reason for her to have a tax stamp.
