EXCERPT
In agreeing to Boehner's schedule, Obama's address will compete with the opening game of the National Football League season a conflict the White House wanted to avoid.

I tend to agree. Perhaps Boehner’s just more outwardly emotional than the so-called norm. The world is made of all kinds, quoting my gramma.
I think that Jay Carney came off very snarky (as usual today) suggesting that the Republicans could move their debate if they wanted to...then when it came out that in the past, presidents had asked weeks in advance (except for an emergency like 9.11) it showed how political Obama was being. Even the news reports made mention of the fact that the debates had been set up for months...the sinker for Obama was when an unidentified Dem congressmen complained about not giving enough time.
The best part of this is that Obama looks weak...and if he complains during the speech, he will look like a petulant child ...and he will because he can’t help himself.

@BraskinCPA POTUS problem on this one is that it’s technically Boehner’s invite to issue

If the republican freshmen have any sense they will throw a football party for the sometime and invite the media.
Y’all......this was ALL coordinated.
Meeting at Martha’s Vineyard with Comcast owner.
PMSNBC gives Al Sharpton a show (to race bait for the black vote because Obama is losing it on account of jobs).
CBC starts attacking Tea Party as racist (because Obama has instructed them to).
Obama demands that he give a speech to Joint Sessions.....during Republican Presidential debates (hosted by PMSNBC and Politico) to try and look “tough” (ghetto) on ‘da man’.
Didn’t work, did it, “hussy’?

(Reuters) - The effort to hunt down and kill Osama bin Laden will be featured in a two-hour television program, including interviews with President Barack Obama and senior counter-terrorism officials, the History channel said on Wednesday.
“Targeting Bin Laden” will be broadcast on September 6, and use dramatic reenactments and news footage to look at the behind-the-scenes work over several administrations to find the al Qaeda leader.

hehe...........thanks, John. Ya done good!
I’m wondering whether either of them got a call from Nancy Reagan
Read the NYT front page article on this and then read the WSJ version. The WSJ version leaves out facts favorable to Boehner and leads one to believe 0 warned the GOP of the date and time ahead of informing the press. The WSJ makes the NYT look fair and balanced! What a rag it has become.
Hope this isn’t true ...

NANCY REAGAN’S SAD LAST DAYS
Published on: August 31, 2011

Beloved NANCY REAGANs 90-year journey is sadly nearing an end.
The former first ladys weight has plummeted to a rail-thin 84 pounds, she cannot walk without a cane, and shes plagued by several health problems, say sources.
The recent deterioration of RONALD REAGANs frail but courageous wife became shockingly apparent Aug. 23 when she took a terrible tumble as she was escorted into an event at The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, Calif.
Fortunately, she was not injured, but insiders say the end is rapidly approaching.
Fun times over on the DU.
DU isin collapse.
The lamentations of the liberal man-womyn at Kos is breathtaking, too
I don't often watch games that the Seahawks aren't in until later in the season. I will make an exception this time.
Maybe because they ARE weak and incompetent ?
That will leave a mark!
I’m proud of the R’s for standing strong...for a change. Maybe
there is hope yet! REAL hope! :)
Marking
.... this way Obama's people and the media will claim Obama had the largest viewing audiance of his speech in history!
