JOHANNESBURG (AP) -- South Africa's minister of land reform says black farmers have resold nearly 30 percent of the white farmland bought for them by the government - often back to the previous white owners.
Minister Gugile Nkwinti announced the startling indicator of failure at Wednesday's launch of a long-delayed government policy paper to revitalize plans to more equitably distribute agricultural land, redressing historical wrongs.

You think if I walked up to a random person on the street (of any color) and gave them 10 acres and a mule that they could compete with multinational agri-business?
lol
Of course it was wrong to take land away from white farmers. But it wouldn’t have mattered who they gave it to, a family farmer just can’t compete.
....Pssst.....
Don’t tell that hypocritical prick Bono. It will shatter his feel-good-about-my-rock-star-self liberal world.
IIRC, the Zulus were moving south about the same time the Boers moved north (to escape the British). The local aboriginal population didn’t stand a chance, although on balance it was better to be conquered by the Boers.
No. The native South Africans were the San People, aka Bushmen/Hottentots. Many of them were killed off by blacks migrating from the north and whites settling the south and moving further inland. The San are more brown and I think shorter in statue.
The whites were in what is now SA before the blacks, but not before the San.
Google and there are many links for the San People.
who knew?
Maybe they can get a deal on great town cars like the Marauder Richard Hammond drove around...

I’ve had the privilege of meeting and getting to know some Rhodesians. To a man they seem level-headed and tough as nails. But there are subjects you don’t broach with them, though, especially not in mixed company and EXTRA ESPECIALLY not when Eric Holder’s People are present. Hoo boy!
You should really get off that line of logic. This isn’t about farm science. I know you just want to make that point but that point isn’t relative to the story. This is about racism.
Hating whitey don’t grow food apparently!
The white African farmer repurchasing his farm from those who strongarmed it from him takes the term sucker bet to a new level.
I know there are a lot of black farmers, however, overall it’s the white farmers that feed the world.
Worse than that, farming is work!
AAHHHH—That would be..... NO.
Time for the “white” farmers to form a cartel and charge exhorbitant prices for the food they produce.
Just like here in America -
if “reparations” became law and all of whitey’s wealth was confiscated and redistibuted “to the rightful owners”,
it would be back in the hands of the same people within a generation.
Same to be said for Zimbabwe, the former breadbasket of Africa, and now a complete ruin. I keep trying to figure out why so many countries in Africa have such non-productive societies. I know it's not the color of their skin because of all the fine value-oriented blacks. It must be a cultural thing. Plus, there are the few African nations that are self-sufficient.
As I've said many times in the past - I am a culturalist. I believe that certain cultures have bettered the advancement of mankind throughout history. However, PC is quickly reversing that virtue in places such as Greece and England. Best guess, it always comes down to the "gimmes", as I call them, and the leadership they install or dictatorships they refuse to fight.
The USA is now on that same trajectory - with a bullet as seen by obambi, reid, pelosi, and ilk. American cultural values are dying and if not changed, we will eventually become a second or third-world nation like the above. It may take us longer, but we are on the same PC "gimme" path if we don't change course asap.
Keep
Wonder how they’ll sell the farms back to the whites they murdered to steel their land?
