On TV Now.

Only way to put workers back to work he says, is to fix trans and aviation with his people. And he has jobs council identifying infrastructure projects to put people to work.

(In short, he wants more stimulus money.)

A preview of his jobs speech no doubt.

He wants more taxes to spend on bridges, roads, etc.

Did you miss the 4,000 federal aviation employees when they were briefly furloughed?

“threatened tens of thousands of jobs in the construction industry”

Yeah, right! Obama is really worried about the construction industry!

******

Congressional Democrats and Republicans are sharply divided over both the cost and duration of any extension.

Roughly 4,000 federal employees were briefly furloughed earlier this summer when a political impasse prevented Congress from passing what traditionally has been a routine extension of funding for the Federal Aviation Administration.

The temporary funding shortfall also threatened tens of thousands of jobs in the construction industry, along with a number of airport improvement projects.

Congressional leaders ultimately passed a short-term extension of full FAA funding, though the issues that led to its temporary delay remained unresolved. Obama urged Congress Wednesday to pass a long-term funding extension for the FAA as well.

Exactly what was the reason for this speech today? Was it announced? I didn’t hear the repeated message...”We are waiting for the president...” I didn’t know he was going to give another speech. Not that I would have watched. But, why was he on TV AGAIN???

We’re entering a very dangerous time as he gets more and more desperate.

I totally agree with that. I've been saying since 2009 that Baby Raila would eventually become the dominant Barry, once he experienced some electoral rejection and was faced with the utter and irrefutable failure of his borrowed, bankrupt so-called ideas. Lord knows, the last Congress gave him powers we don't even fully fathom -- yet.

Republicans should answer:

"We agree with the president on the need to preserve jobs for Americans, but to insure that those jobs go to American citizens, we will introduce legislation to require that any worker hired through this funding is verified as legally eligible to work in the USA through the eVerify program. To further protect American workers, we will also require all labor unions to verify their membership lists through eVerify and put in place penalties for unions who maintain illegal aliens on their membership rolls. These are common sense steps designed to insure that federal tax monies are used to employ Americans who have been hard hit by the recent economic downturn, rather than see tax dollars support those who have violated our laws by entering our country illegally."

I forgot to add:

"As we have seen the effects of this recession fall disproportionately on African-Americans, we hope that eliminating illegal aliens from federally-funded payrolls will open new opportunities for more African-Americans to rejoin the workforce."

Pin Obama in a corner so there is a clear decision about whether to help legal African-Americans return to work or allow illegal aliens to steal those jobs from them.

If you can’t steamroll or demagogue tax increases, try to steamroll more spending instead. Lather, rinse, repeat. Republicans need to fire at him with both barrels on regulation and challenge him over whether he knows better than the private sector on aviation and transportation. This is the asshole who’s making it nearly impossible to explore for oil, is attacking companies like Boeing, trying to make CO2 illegal, and whining about how “shovel ready jobs” didn’t turn out to be just that. Get the message out.

When I read Hayek's The Road to Serfdom I became concerned about the dangers of a planned economy. Little did I know the real danger was from an unplanned economy (tongue firmly in cheek).

“Watching them plot out this attack strategy every-day on MSNBC it dawned on me once again (as I used to point out last year) that Republicans should respond by repeating over and over how Democrats beating the drum for more stimulus and how bad unemployment is should be a reminder how Democrats have failed.

In spite of Pelosi losing the House. Republicans need Obama to own this economy failure , Bush is not POTUS nor is McCain, it’s Obama. Obama wants you to think Boehner is now ‘unemployer and chief’, not him.

And use Democrats words against them:”More of the same(that failed)?”

Make their calls for another stimulus be a reminder how the stimulus failed big time,”

This is a very serious problem,The Republicans never answer back to this Fool.

You’re getting a preview of an Obama campaign theme for 2012: “I wanted to create jobs but the Republicans wouldn’t let me, in order to protect their friends in Big Business.”
