I think they are going "all in". It seems obvious to me that we are now in a Depression. People who love this country would say that everything is going in the wrong direction.

So, we can either change direction (not what the Left wants) or we can keep doing all of the things which are making the country go in the wrong direction.

The public is unlikely to support the same old, same old. They can see clearly that it is not working. Which means the Left has reached a high-water mark through its use of the political process and control of the media. If the people want to pull back, then the Left must switch to more violent means to continue its march toward the inevitable victory of communism.
