I know, I know: Its a Zogby poll. But cmon. I had to blog it. Just because I knew that headline would rock your world. Hes not leading by this much. But he is leading, comfortably.

Glad crazy Ron is losing ground, too.
Ye ole McCain trick of 07’ from the Dem playbook page 257: “prop him up...then cut him down”. Zogby is a Dem pollster.
The trendline for Herman Cain in the Zogby numbers is similar to that of the recently-released Gallup Poll. Why has his support eroded? He came on very strong after the first debate but hasn’t been able to maintain his strength.
No one is pre-choosing anything. Vote for whoever you want when the primary comes to your town.

Actually, Cain isn’t fairing too badly. He is right on the tail of Bachmann and Paul. Truth be told, Paul is losing to Cain in all of the straw polls in states like GA, FL, SC, etc. I don’t put much credence in these others. He will be fine.
They all have better approval numbers then the President or Senate. Its a long race - hold fire for 10 months.
Ah for the older, more ethical, more scientific polls, even though those took weeks and would be a long time responding to the newest announced candidates.
But, well, who are we going to listen to? The MSM, or the candidates? We have only ourselves to blame if we care less about the candidates than about a few opinionmaking pundits who can engineer the kind of poll sample they want. Why is a formidable debater like Herman Cain so far down in the mud as not even to show? Why isn’t Bachmann better? I can understand why Romney looks old and tired because, well, he is.
Give it up Mitt, you’re too RINO for the Tea party.
Pray for America
Means absolutely nothing.

so this is a Democrat poll of Democrats ?
The media chose Perry some months ago. This much was clear. Don’t give me that ‘You can choose’ crap. It is simply false, and you know it.
At the risk of feeding the ego of a certain stormy name, why hasn’t the leading candidate a less ambiguous affinity to the Tea Party? Perry saluted the Tea Party — and good for him that he did so, it proves that the Tea Party matters — but the Tea Party is reserving comment for now.
If Democrats were trying to groom somebody who would be the weakest opponent to Obama, well not having John McCain to use again they would pick somebody like Mitt Romney known for seriously liberal politics.
The Zoggers did do a pretty fair job of projecting George W. Bush’s two wins. I don’t remember if they predicted Obama stampeding McCain by 4% of the vote in 2008.
well, it was Trump with the lead two months ago, and Cain for a couple of weeks. This race has been very fluid thus far. But I think Perry is solidifying support - I think things are gelling as the primaries approach.
I take it you haven't seen the breakdown on the other national polls, which show Perry taking a large plurality of the self-identified Tea Party members, beating Bachmann by 2-1 or more?
