Palin Backers Use Film to Spread Message Ahead of Iowa Speech

*snup*

Members of the newly formed Tea Party group, which will host the former Alaska governor at a rally in Iowa on Saturday, have made clear that they have no special insight into Palin’s presidential intentions.

*snip*

Ladd Ventling, who serves as a county coordinator for the Iowa branch of Organize4Palin, told RCP that he spoke privately with Todd Palin for over 20 minutes about the volunteer group’s efforts during the visit by Alaska’s former First Couple to the Iowa State Fair earlier this month.

Ventling said that while Todd Palin did not say his wife planned to announce her candidacy, the Webster City, Iowa, native came away from the conversation convinced that she does indeed intend to get in.

You fail to consider reality.

The reality is that most Americans desire a passive message format where information is input visually. The audio is heard but the video is remembered.

A campaign (if there really is one ) is all about delivering a message....... vote for me.

Your charge is as bogus as the one calling Perry a Rino

And you fail to acquaint yourself with reality in the first place.

Passive intake without the ability to give feedback or ask questions is not campaigning.

It can be put just this simply: in a movie theater, the erstwhile campaigner never sees it when people start to leave the theater in disgust; at a live campaign rally, she does.

The act of simply leaving can be criticism enough, but it requires that there be the ability to actively interact, and you cannot do that when you're being spoonfed visuals.

Were your point correct, then the best way to educate children would be to prop them up in front of a big screen and pump 'em full of knowledge visually, while they sit there passively in the dark.

That's not how representative democracy works.

I shall be there....can't wait.

Even if there is no official announcement, her speech will be well worth the drive.

self-serving propaganda served up in a manner that guarantees that the audience must sit passively and receive the message rather than being able to actively question it.

Nope. Those people with closed minds won't be there.

Not bad looking for a DEM RINO.

Her hair looks rather brittle: either she's had too many perms or the stress of being a politician's wife has gotten to her.

Cheers!

The feed back is the vote. That is all that is required.

You seem to believe that a campaign is a two way conversation. It is not. A campaign is all about putting out a message. The validity and quality of that message is expressed by a vote.

Maybe I should go find a couple of Perry threads and paste Palin pics and info all over it. What d'ya think? Good idea? You seem to think trolling Palin threads is right.

Sarah, more Presidential than Obama

At least she isn’t a kept man. You went there being ugly about a lady who is accomplished all on her own. I find it funny how you throw that RINO term at her when Todd Palin is a card carrying union member. You remember that being used as a good thing on the campaign trail?

You troll Palin threads and then complain about the comments. You’re looking for a fight. And then you try to lecture someone else?! HA!

I wasn’t spamming the thread. I was simply responding to a post that was uncalled for. I was making a point that I doubt that RP wanted to be Todd Palin as his wife is a lovely lady all on her own and that she is busy doing typical first lady things. She’s also accomplished all on her own.

You are trolling a thread, looking for a fight. I read some Perry threads this morning and saw nasty comments about Palin. I did NOT post. I am an adult and was looking for info, not a brawl.

No I wasn’t trolling Palin threads. I just happened to be reading it when a comment was made that I responded to. If anything was troll bait it was grey_whiskers post I responded to.

Here’s something to keep in mind, don’t go there if you don’t want a response.

Don't try to wrap it in pretty sentiment. You regularly troll Palin threads.

According to you, when I saw nasty comments about Mrs Palin I should have responded on the Perry thread. THAT is what you are claiming. You REALLY want to go there?

Actually, I don’t. I read Perry threads and answer Palin supporters on Perry threads.

I just happened to be viewing the comments on the News/activism articles when I saw the post I responded to. I often just hit post reply when reading the comments on the articles posted.

Look, The trolling has to stop. It doesn't help candidates and it isn't good for FR. I refrain from answering Palin smack on Perry threads. It's unproductive.

Discussing a candidates beliefs and past record is good. They need to be vetted. But trolling and starting a war is not what Jim wants. I don't think most posters do either.

Ahh. How do you vet a candidate on things they've done in the past then? How do you find out if they've learned from their past mistakes and disavowed the thinking that led to those mistakes?

A perfect case in point is Romney, who has apparently not learned a single thing from his Romneycare mistakes in Mass. That continuing lack of good judgment on his part would not have become apparent now unless someone had questioned him about it. That sort of questioning is not possible in the sort of campaign you're proposing - unless, that is, you want to leave the questioning to the "professional" media types in the MSM.

I'd rather have my candidates served up well-cooked: grilled time and again by tea partiers and others, rather than served up by the MSM as "mystery meat."

You're afraid of someone stating their experience of watching the Palin film when this thread is about the film?

They were clearly playing with our minds.

They seem pretty organized to me.
