I think there’s another angle too. I know a ridiculous number of highly-educated middle to upper middle class whites who voted for Obama because of his skin color and who drank the “post-partisan, hope and change, he’s so smart, etc., etc.” BS. Here’s the problem - these highly-educated people are among the LAST to admit that they really, really messed up. They didn’t get to where they are by messing up. What is going to be their fig leaf for 2012 - Obama may be bad, but X is even worse. Could be Palin, Bachmann, Perry, Romney, etc., etc. - the media is going to POUND into them that the Republican is even worse than the Obama clown show, and (oh by the way) that Obama hasn’t been a clown show. That’s my biggest fear - these people who know in their heart that Obama is a disaster but don’t want to admit how badly they messed up by voting for this Marxist fool in the first place.

I have seen too much Affirmative action, too many tests standards lowered, too many idiots promoted over deserving people to have any white guilt.
The hate vote is all that is left, and that, I'm afraid, will be easier to stir up. The fools who cast a hate-Bush vote for obama numbered in the millions. Now they just have to adjust their aim to fling hate at another target--the banks, corporations, Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney, Rush, whoever the republican candidate is. Much of the Black vote is simple race-hatred.
Always remember that hate is what underlies the liberal terrain. Hate is their bedrock. That will never change.
I heard Rush talk about this today and he is right on the money. My theory is that the democrats were in panick mode after seeing Kerry lose and that is the only reason that they chose Obama. That way they could use the gimmick of being the first black President in order to turn out voters who usually dont show up.
I honestly hope that if they use this tactic again that conservatives stop playing nice on the issue of race. The democrat party is the party of KKK and have used terrorism all throughout their history. After the KKK it was groups like the Weather Underground and other radical groups. Unions have used terrorism as well.
The progressive movement and their policies are largely based from their days of the KKK. Abortion (eugenics) was championed in front of the KKK. The democrats forst called for Seperation of Church and State because republicans had been inviting blacks to religious ceremonies at the Capital and then this policy was enshrined by a lawyer for the KKK.
There needs to be a full force attack on the democrat party and their history. They are the party of slavery, socialism, terrorism and treason.
The democrats love using accusations of racism and terrorism against conservatives. It is time to call them out and make them defend themselves against their own history.

Best to keep the "white guilt" to the family reunions where you can go apologize to your niece's third new husband ~ or maybe take her 6 chilluns, and his 3 out to a movie or something. I'm sure that'd get that out of your system (should there be any residual in there).
Totally true. Have believed this since Obama first starting gaining traction in the Dim primaries. And the late Geraldine Ferraro, a Hillary supporter, was chastised by her own party for saying on Fox that Obama was winning primaries because he is black.
