AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic challenger Bill White agree that while plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero have stirred controversy, they don't object to a local decision affirming the Islamic group's right to build it. A New York City planning commission voted this week to clear the way for a planned Islamic community center and mosque near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Thanks. I wasn’t aware they were specifically addressed. I appreciate the mention.
I had a great grandaddy and a great great grandaddy who fought for their homes (they didn't give a hoot in Hell about slavery) against the evil invading hordes of blue belly war criminals burning, raping, murdering and looting across a starving South.
I KNOW what atrocities wicked Yankee bastards like Sherman and Sheridan did to my people while Bobby Lee didn't hurt a fly while he was in Pennsylvania.
We deserved what we got from Sherman...sweet Jesus how utterly ignorant and heartless.
Why wouldn’t Perry support using eminet domain by the state of New york to turn the site over to government jurisdiction.
We all know perry loves using eminent domain.
Your credibility could not be less in this forum. And I remember your answer very well; you said you see them all the time picking onions when you drive to the airport. You were laughed at then just as you are being laughed at now.
One thing I do believe and that is your confession that you and/or your dumbass husband would hire one. That really sheds light on why you would support an ILLEGAL loving RINO like Mitt Perry. You're far beyond ignorant, you're incredibly stupid. Do you really think it's ok to hire wetbacks? Do you not know that by doing so you ARE the reason why they are here? No, I'll bet you don't. You're not bright enough to realize that.
Amazing.
Can’t measure up? You haven’t left the sixth grade.
You apparently don’t understand what an excerpt is....
Cry me a river.
“Peace loving” lol
All right. I read the links and did learn a couple of things. Thank you. But here’s what bothers me. Perry did not conceive of this thing, congress did. They passed in pieces beginning in, I believe, 1991. Bush signed it in 2002. This was the I69 portion and federally mandated. Perry’s part in this was bringing in “arms” of this I69 corridor, which as your article states, both the legislature and voters approved. The thing didn’t become a disaster until TXdot staked it out and farmers realized eminent domain was going to walk all over them. How is this Perry’s fault? I also saw in the article where it wasn’t the issue it is today until RINO Kay Bailey Hutchinson — who approved the thing from Washington (right?) — campaigned against PERRY on it...and lost. What am I missing here?
Have I gotten down to your level of understanding yet?
To the extent he has no business telling them what they must do, I agree. To the extent he has as much right as any citizen to be offended by the very idea of this plan, he has every right to..., no every duty to speak out about the travesty that mosque would be to citizen’s reverence for that area.
To hell with the Tenth Amendment. I have never said he should go in there and do something should he become president. So why the Tenth Amendment comments?
They were uncalled for.
Not crying just showing contempt—but at least we killed more of you blue scumbellies than you did of us.
Not that they will ever get it. We're supposed to accept Mitt Perry without question. Not a chance. And you know by their reactions they don't like hearing the truth. It reminds me very much of how Obamaites react when you tell the truth about him.
I understand that you’re a blowhard with some real issues. I mean, who else puts pictures of their mom on their homepage?
His failure to be a leader supported it.
It doesn’t reall matter whatside he comes down on al he can do is have an opinion. He doesn’t run new York.
I would like him to say we can no longer allow any Muslims to even come to this country, and we tear down the Mosques we have where they are plotting to enslave or kill us, but it won’t happen.
This is just another BS thing brought up to hurt his shot at the Presidency. We have to look at what he can do, not what he cannot.
He can rid us of all Obama regulations and stand against Obamacare.
He sure supports the Muslims in Texas though. We have already seen what a Muslim enabler in the White House can do. We dont need another.
Not sure what you’re trying to say here but that’s okay. I’ve signed petitions. I’ve raised hell about that damn mosque and the PA site.
No one has to try and convince me of anything. Nuff said.
No, the Lost Cause infiltrated the North, too. It was quite a powerful little lie that requires Historians (even those from Amherst) to remedy today.
BTW, my Governor can beat up your governor.
