Republican presidential hopeful Rick Perry says there would be no stimulus programs if he is elected to lead the country.
Speaking in Tulsa, Okla., on Monday, Perry said he has a plan to free America from an "economic disaster" and that he will "get America working again."
He appealed to the country's "entrepreneurial spirit" to create jobs and let them flourish. He also said American workers should be allowed to keep more of what they make.

I’m out of sarcastic comments for the moment. 11/2012 can’t get here soon enough.

An Air Force veteran, Perry flew C130s from 1972 until 1977, though he never saw combat. They just had to put that in there, didn't they? Where the hell would a C130 pilot have "seen combat" from 1972 through 1977?

He's about to declare war on NPR.
Seems like that ought to count for something.

“Perry said he has a plan to free America from an “economic disaster” and that he will “get America working again.”
Obama’s stimulus plan failed to reduce the employment rate to 8% before the mid-term election. What is the % objective of Perry’s plan? I like that he is the only GOP candidate focusing on jobs but does he really have a ‘plan with objectives’ or is it more of Obama’s hope?

Perry may not be prefect but he’s got this right. I trust him over any of the Liberal-Progressives nut cases we have in power now. I only hope he picks a VP who isn’t a RINO. Bauchmann? Palin? Hunter? Even Mittens. I long to see the debate—Perry vs Obama—that will be good TV.

Wouldn’t that be great? American Thinker has a good article about a Perry-Rubio ticket.

Consensus is that Bush saved an economic collapse by bailing out Wall Street in 2008. GW Bush affirmed the bail out of Wall Street Banks was going against his own principles of the free market. In retrospect, the Wall Street bailout proved to be nothing but a trillion dollar heist on the American tax payers. A few questions for Rick Perry; how would he handle a too big to fail bank bailout?
How will he handle the abject failure of the SEC, Federal Reserve and the Congress in monitoring our national monetary policy? Will Rick Perry's DOJ pursue investigations and prosecutions against those who pillaged the US economy starting with the Chicago mob, Wall Street bankers, the Fed Chairman (a $1.6 trillion secret loan to European banks), the Treasury Secretary et al? Will America's laws be enforced equally under a Rick Perry presidency?

Boy the banksters and crony capitalists aren’t going to like that.
I wonder what he’ll do with Government Motors?

You are correct. Ironically we know the bottom of the ticket but not the top.
It will either be Perry-Rubio or Romney-Rubio.
Conservatives should coalesce around Perry in the near future, assuming he performs well in upcoming debates. If the field remains fractured, that helps Romney.
That said, I will vote for anyone nominated against Obama next year. Any of them would be a huge improvement, and the Supreme Court is at stake.

I just can’t wait until this guy leaves office and the words “Stimulus”, “Stimulate” and “Stimulative” go back to the porn sites where they belong.

What is the % objective of Perrys plan? How, pray tell, can the president set a goal for something like that? I realize Bachmann has pledged $2 gasoline, but she was an idiot for doing it.
No believer in free markets would even want a politician to set goals for things that we must accomplish. Getting out of our way is all that needs to be done.

Get the effing EPA, Energy Department, Bureau of Land Management and Interior Department out of the way.
Free enterprise capitalism built this country, not government regulations.

Obama set 8%. If Perry does not have confidence in his plan to set a goal, then he doesn’t have a plan, he’s like Obama, he has a hope.
