If you find yourself wondering how it was you missed the whole 4th season of Walker, Texas Ranger, while forcing yourself to attend Lamaze classes with your significant other. If on cool, crisp days the aforementioned tragedy causes you to wistfully wonder how to fill the emptiness inside - let me introduce you to the Rick Perry for President Campaign.
Perry, who has seemingly been Governor of Texas since around the time when remaining at The Alamo began to look like a questionable career move, is now ready to throw his 10-gallon hat, frothy intellect and custom-made cowboy boots into the national political ring.
Predictably, Democrats are laughing. He's just another dumb Texan. Another mentally challenged Republican. He's Reagan. And George W Bush. He can't win.
Does anyone else see the problem with this line of reasoning? Shhh, don't tell anyone, but Reagan and Bush The Younger served as president for roughly 50 per cent of the past 30 years.
Of course Perry can win, and in fact, if the Obama team keeps thinking that "patent reform" is the new WPA and continues to show that fighting Dukakis spirit, I'd go so far as to give Perry the advantage should he secure the GOP nomination...

Governor Rick Perry has ALL the right enemies.
The towelheads are terrified because Perry shoots straight (unlike them), IS straight (unlike them) and doesn’t put up with a lot of crap (like sharia, CAIR, political correctness, etc.)
That tears it. He says SS is a Ponzi scheme and now he’s pissed off the terrorists?! I’m voting Ron Paul.
Well, it looks like the wise money has identified Perry now. He is getting Bush whacked.
He’s not Reagan. He’s not quite the same as George W. Bush.
Neither is he quite the same sort of politician as Romney in that he won’t take EVERY position to get a vote.
What a terrible thing to say about Al Gore’s former Texas Campaign Manager for President.
Pretty lame article......no substance to speak of. Just an opinion.
Islamists exercising their right of free speech. Sad, tragic irony.
Well, they could say it about Bachman, who worked for CARTER.
And recall, it was Gore vs. Dukkakis in that day, so Gore was, by far, better than Dukkkis.
Awwwww dam. Now they done gone and done it. They pissed off the cowboys. Mount up boys. Whiskey for my men and beer for my horses.
That article is hardly anything to toot about.....says nothing at all...simply Aljazeer playing in the political ball park. No substance spoken of.
This is nothing about “Muslims terrified of Perry”....Aljazzeer is in Obamas court.
My suggestion is that we rid the entire world of sadistic fraudulent-religion zealot murderers whose goal is world domination and the eradication of all non-believers,......er,...I meant to say MUSLIMS!
Apart from Goldwater in ‘64 and Reagan in ‘80, I have held my nose in order to vote the Republican. Can someone allay my reservations about this man? I think specifically about the Texas corridor, Guardasil, his stance on illegal aliens, and other lesser issues. So many RINOs campaign to the right and once elected, govern from the center or center left. We had in NYS just such a candidate in George Pataki. I continually feel like Linus with Lucy holding the football ... year after year. Is he worth supporting? Or will he pull the football? sd
There is another endorsement for Perry if you ask me. The muzzies don’t like him, means 2 thumbs up for me.
If they hate him, I should take a closer look.
We need to play Cowboys and Muslims. Playing Community Organizers and Muslims ain’t working.
