Federal judge blocks Ala. illegal immigration law
AP ^ | August 29, 2011

A federal judge temporarily blocked enforcement of Alabama's new law cracking down on illegal immigration, ruling Monday that she needed more time to decide whether the law opposed by the Obama administration, church leaders and immigrant-rights groups is constitutional.

The brief order by U.S. District Judge Sharon L. Blackburn means the law won't take effect as scheduled on Thursday. The ruling was cheered by opponents who have compared the law to old Jim Crow-era statutes against racial integration.

But Blackburn didn't address whether the law is constitutional, and she could still let all or parts of the law take effect later. The judge said she will issue a longer ruling by Sept. 28.

yes, I think we will win this election as the right is very motivated. But the leftist and the communist and all of their needy dependents will launch an assault, probably when we move big to regain our freedom. That is ok....I will fight to the death to not lose all of our freedom...hopefully their death...in self and national defense.

It is not compassion to encourage people to risk their lives to enter this country illegally.

Concur. Too bad the founders didn’t put stronger cuffs on the black robed. They trusted the people to keep the judiciary in line. Oops.

Of course, the congress and executive have gone rogue as well, so what the hell... the oath of office these morons take means nothing to them.

Jim Crow laws were unconstitutional because they restricted the rights of American Citizens.

Illegal immigrants are ILLEGAL and ARE NOT American Citizens.

For all the JUDGES out there DUH!

My five year old could wear the robes better! At least a five year old knows the difference between right and wrong!

Yes, it’s Jim Crow to require foreign nationals to stay in their own country unless they come through in a manner acceptable to the United States. Pure Apartheid. The fascist, racist, sexist homophobic beasts./sarc

That’s not far fetched. We live under more regs from unelected agencies and judge made “law” than those from Congress, to which we the people granted some legislative powers.

“Look at England. Entire cities ceded to immigrants who have brought nothing in the way of skills, knowledge or work ethic.”

Look at England? Look at CALIFORNIA.

If you were to drive through the East side of Los Angeles, or huge swaths of the San Fernando Valley, you would ask yourself, “Am I in America or Mexico?”

There are also countless smaller cities in California where the population is nearly one hundred percent Mexican immigrant — mostly illegal. They are governed by Mexicans or the children of Mexicans... strictly for the benefit of the Mexican residents.

You may have seen recent stories in the news about Maywood and Bellflower — city governments busted up only because they became so brazen in their Mexican-government style lawlessness, they attracted too much attention.

Huge swaths of land and formerly nice American cities — ceded to Mexico, wholesale. Without a shot being fired. Or any politician rising to his feet in the state or Federal government and asking, “Is this the best course for America?”

And none of this is the fault of a judge in Alabama.

This is the fault of every single American President since Ronald Reagan, Congressman, Senator, and U.S. voter.

Yet another activist judge requiring impeachment, removal jail time and remedial training on why a state has the right to protect its citizens when the president and the congress fails to do so against any foreign criminals!

This was life in pubbie-land also, which is why they lost in 2006 and 2008. The people, by and large, do NOT want illegals in this country. Period!

Really? Then why is our government granting them all kinds of legal protections?

Remember: Mr Amnesty himself ran on the Republican ticket in 2008.

If you sneak across the southern border of Mexico - you will be shot on sight.

If you venture across the border into Iran, you will be put in prison for eight years and lose half your body weight within the first six months.

If you manage to get across the southern border of the USA - you get FREE food, FREE medical care, FREE education for your children, subsidized housing, and if you are lucky - you can steal some sap’s identity and REALLY hit the jackpot. (Not to mention getting a job that those lazy Americans refuse to do......)

GOOD POINT!

Coming packed in trucks for human trafficking or dying in the desert is hardly compassionate!

Take a leaf from Soros and his minions, hire private detectives and follow her around and collect dirt on her and make her life miserable. Or, take a leaf from ACORN, and hold huge demonstrations in front of her house and make her life miserable. Or invade the court room and disrupt it on a periodic basis. The list of possibilities is endless.

I like it. It’s what Conservatives really need to do, to start playing dirty and mean.

Time for cow towing is over.

What I’d like to know ...once the entire country is overtaken by illegals, where does this judge think SHE’s going to go? Does she think they’ll give her a special position in society somehow? She’s delusional to think they’d do anything else but put her away once she’s served her usefulness.
