Here is video of Gen. Colin Powell on Face the Nation today where he said he has not yet decided on supporting President Obama for re-election in 2012.
After what Powell did to John McCain in 2008, I wouldn’t trust Powell in the slightest. He says he’s looking to see the most qualified candidate, yet he voted for Barack Obama in 2008 knowing he did not know squat that would qualify him for the office. The last 2 1/2 years have shown Powell made a terrible mistake.
Be sure that he will decide – with great fanfare – in the closing days of 2012 to support Obama just to try and give him a boost.

Like the rest of FR, I simply don’t believe him. Although I don’t think he’s as leftist as Obama, I think he’s already 99% sure that he’d rather have Obama again than have any of the top GOP folks, so only in some hypertechnical sense is Powell telling the truth.

As an officer, I had doubts about Mr Powell - lots of smoke, but little fire.
After he announced an endorsement for the Cretin-in-Chief, I knew my suspicions were correct.
Another example of tokenism.
It’s too bad, because I know of any number of blacks who have 1) real, earned academic credentials - as in science, 2) real accomplishments - as in they did it with “preferred” help, and 3) they have enough confidence in themselves to laugh off any real racist out there.
Powel and the Cretin-in-Chief display none of these.
Powell is simply a high profile racist.
Does anyone other than Sunday talk show hosts care? I know don’t.

Who cares? Anybody who supported Obama in 2008, or who has blocked investigation into his background, has sent this country down the path to perdition. They don’t even deserve a minute of my time, or attention.
IMHO, Powell has become an embarrassment. He forfeited his honor in the way he covered up for Armitage and silently watched Scooter Libby go to prison for Armitage's actions. Then he forfeited his judgment when he crossed party lines to endorse Barry, whose claim to fame today is he is managing to be an even worse President than Jimmuh.
He should be hiding out in shame instead of pretending anyone cares what he thinks anymore.
A Huntsman/Powell 3rd party ticket might be coming. It would likely attract disaffected Dem 0bama voters thereby reducing 0bama’s chances, but it could also preserve Dems in the House and Senate races.
Does anyone really care what powell votes for since he was so obligated to vote for racism the last time around? Obviously, he’s not as intelligent as he would like us to believe.
Herman Cain needs to pay a visit to these jive talkin' turkeys and tell them to man-up.
