Organizers of Wausau's Labor Day parade say Republican lawmakers aren't welcome in this year's event.
The Marathon County Central Labor Council sponsors the September 5th parade. The council includes about 30 local unions from the Marathon County area.
Council president Randy Radtke says they choose not to invite elected officials who have "openly attacked worker's rights" or did nothing to intervene.

Well I see the posted tweets and announcements loudly proclaiming Walker supporters are not invited.
I don't see anything that indicated they asked and were turned down.
Looks like the commies are miffed that no Republicans expressed any interest.
.
I am surprised they don’t have a May Day parade. I mean, don’t the communists celebrate that?
Ban democrats from july 4th, they want us to be slaves and dependent
Ban democrats from memorial Day parades, they dont want to remember our fallen dead anyways
Ban Democrats from Veteran’s day parades, all they do is get us into wars without an ending
Civility...and all that.
WI Ping...
... Here’s what the “tolerant” look like.
This partisan, third grade response to members of a political party who seek to keep Wisconsin from economic tragedy is a heartfelt embarrassment to those of us in Wisconsin who are truly conservative and believe in the Constitution.
Republican office holders should research action that has been taken by gays when they have been excluded from participating in parades. We should use the left’s own strategies against them.
EODGUY
Labor Day is just another fake holiday as far as I’m concerned. And why would anybody want to be associated with those thugs anyway?
Anticipated headline:
GOP ELITES SHUN LABOR DAY CELEBRATIONS
Probably not the same Randy Radtke, but there was a Republican in the Assembly by that same name a few years back.
ANOTHER excellent word to add to my already politically incorrect vocabulary:
“DeMarxification!”
Thank You for that! :-)
BTTT
Wisconsin, typical. We used to vacation there for a few summers when I was a kid. A lodge on a nice lake, great Musky and Pike fishing. You couldn’t pay me to go back there now.
Why not get groups of people to set up picnics in the parks and have LOTS of flags flying and people dressed in stars and stripes. Let ‘em know it’s a holiday for ALL Americans.
if you can read this thank a teacher.
Remember that crap like the “what does democracy look like, this is what democracy looks like”
ARF
I guess storming building, attacking those who they disagree with and using intimidation while not knowing they are wearing the socialist logo on their shirts is the kind of crap hole they want
As for the teachers teaching reading, I guess it can’t be the teachers here in the local elementary school as on the first day the teacher was too busy texting their daughter all day and has done every day since last week, have the pupils sit towards the black board while he desk is behind and while she is on ebay.
Teachers for the most part are lazy, always whining, and just clueless.
Of course they always ask for more money though
was at Disney recently and saw a union worker wearing that red shirt with the international socialist logo.
I went up to him and said that I’m from England and never knew that there were socialists in America.
He looked at me and looked stunned at first and then replied”why how do you know who is what?”
I told him he was wearing a shirt with the socialist logo to which he replied” No I’;m not, I’m no socialist I’m union’
I got my phone out and got onto the internet and showed him the socialist logo and his face was priceless.
The dumb ass had no clue what so ever he was wearing a shirt with a socialist logo.
An hour later I saw him and he had bought a mickey shirt and had took his red one off LOL
These are the dumb idiots we are dealing with
Time for local Republicans to go “Animal House” on the parade.
Someone on another thread suggested:
"Right to Work Day."
Liberal tolerance ping!
