On November 16, 1990, Barack Obama, then president of the Harvard Law Review, published a letter in the Harvard Law Record, an independent Harvard Law School newspaper, championing affirmative action.
Although a paragraph from this letter was excerpted in David Remnick's biography of Obama, The Bridge, I had not seen the letter in its entirety before this week. Not surprisingly, it confirms everything I know about Barack Obama, the writer and thinker.
Obama was prompted to write by an earlier letter from a Mr. Jim Chen that criticized Harvard Law Review's affirmative action policies. Specifically, Chen had argued that affirmative action stigmatized its presumed beneficiaries.
The response is classic Obama: patronizing, dishonest, syntactically muddled, and grammatically challenged. In the very first sentence Obama leads with his signature failing, one on full display in his earlier published work: his inability to make subject and predicate agree.

His writing says "I'm not really clear on this material, but I have all the feelings and emotions jumbled up inside me I want to get out." It also says "I don't really care about you the reader enough to take the time to make things clear. I don't care if you understand this or not, you don't mean anything to me."

For those who defend Affirmative Action, justifying it as a remedy for past discrimination, Michelle at least was deserving. She is an authentic black American with slave blood.

Wow...Obama should have been given an academy award for best actor(instead of the Nobel Peace Prize). The media in this country deserves an academy award for best supporting actor/actress!

This leads me to believe that his one real talent in in Speaking (reading a teleprompter). His spoken voice is very good, and he has just enough sway and cadence to captivate an audience. I still think he has an above average IQ, but then again, these written mistakes make him look so, well, dumb. Even the "average" intelligenct people I know would catch those.. Mr. Obama is indeed an interesting character, and one thing is absolutely certain to me at this point: He is a fabrication of the Left, aided and abetted by a complicit MSM. I am now more certain of this than ever before.
