At a ceremony to honor the opening of the new Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial in our nation's capital Friday, the late civil rights leader's daughter Bernice made an historical error that would evoke tremendous ridicule and derision if she were a conservative.
BERNICE KING: "But as I close, I close with the recognition that daddy is standing, Lincoln is seated. Lincoln remembered for signing the Declaration of Independence. Daddy being remembered as standing up for truth and standing up for justice and standing up for righteousness and standing up for peace and standing up for freedom. Daddy is now standing on the National Mall in our nations capital."
May I have your source for this information?
Where did you learn to spell???
It is edjumakashun. edju-ma-KAshun :)

Daddy’s daughter ought to be standing - in a corner wearing a dunce cap.
There is only one way this would make the National News.
If the statement were made by Bush, Dan Quayle, Michelle Bachman, Gov. Perry, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santurum, Chris Christie, et. al.
Absolutely!
Now imagine if Bachmann or Palin had said this...
Thank you Patriot!
Bernice, honey, your daddy deserved better.
It really started with Queen Anne’s War (The War of Spanish Succession).
It really started with Queen Anne’s War (The War of Spanish Succession).
This reminds me of that funny speech that high school girl gave on, “Malcolm the Tenth” a few years ago.
“Lincoln twernt one of her people.”
Lincoln emancipated some group or other...was it the Red Necks in the Southern States? Maybe the KKK? Opps, no that must have been Sheets Byrd who did that...
...Maybe she has been studying under OBummer...
Holy educational refund Batman!
I will remain civil, but I can’t stop laughing.
Sybil was civil and look where it got her!
People often make much of those quotes by Lincoln in a vain attempt to make the Confederate slavery empire look good by comparison. Lincoln’s actions speak loudly however. He expended effort and political capital to promote constitutional amendment to end slavery forever in the United States.
On the other hand, Bernice must know that some Presidents have lied. What if he lied about his birthdate and place! Could of been born in Kenya.
I’m sure that King was a big Jeff Davis/Robert E. Lee fan. </sarcasm>
Hmmm, interesting. Looking at this, QAW effectively began the process of homogenizing British control of North America (driving out the French and Spanish from what would later become the U.S.) and settling out conflict with the Indian tribes, right? It was the beginning of the end, from what I can read here.
