This app is a countdown to either Barack Obama's second inauguration or his final days as President of the United States. In addition, the application will download and update the following important voter metrics:
Approval Rating Public Debt Unemployment Level Gasoline Cost Per Gallon Housing Price Index
Is this your ap? If not how is it working for you?
Looks like fun. Also looks like it’s for iPhone. We are ‘Droid.
Sweet!
Android version please :)
Ok, just got it. Working great, it better not mess up my phone. ;-)
iPhone apps dont do that. They may crash but the phone itself is pretty secured.
This is not my app. But the Dems are upset with it, so I thought I would share the info.
I would rather see a guy wearing a barrel instead of an umbrella for the unemployment rate and an IOU being handed to a Chinaman rather than a piggy bank. After all, an umbrella protects us from rain and a piggy bank is where children place their savings.
“Android version please :)”
People love ‘apps’. And we programmers, like anyone else, tend to milk consumers’ silly whims.
But there is nothing platform oriented nor operating system specific about what this simple app does. Far as I can tell.
It would have been easier to make as a web site and would be available to all. I don’t doubt such and better sites already exist.
Don’t get me wrong, the Balkanization of the software world is great for my industry and my own job security. But it still kinda irks me to see so many people herded into platform oriented parties looking for party oriented solutions to problems which are universal.
That is very funny.
And the fact that the phone I’m programming for today, MS’s WP7, is not popular enough to mock is telling.
Yes. I saw the other day that MS’ share of the phone OS market is down to something like 3%! All that work on Windows CE, Windows mobile, etc etc and what have they got to show for it?
Of course, MS Synch will dominate our cars real soon now. Right?
Speaking of which, when do I finally get a truly built-in iPod in my car with wifi capability and it autosynchs my favorite web content as soon as I pull into my garage? It automatically downloads my favorite music from my storage locker on the web or my iTunes; grabs the podcasts I like; etc. When I roll out next morning to work, all my favorite new content is right there!
Right now I have to undock the iPod in the car, take it into the house, grab content, fix lousy titles, synch iPod to iTunes, and don’t forget to take it back to the car in the morning.
What a huge opportunity here!
bump to the top!
