Given the depth of his loathing for the federal government, it's a little surprising that Texas Gov. Rick Perry wants to preside over it.....
[snip]
Social Security: Perry sees it as a misguided product of the New Deal........Moreover, Perry's proposed fixes for the healthcare system tort reform, individual (rather than employer-sponsored) ownership of health insurance, portability of plans for people who move or change jobs would do nothing to slow the growth of healthcare costs or reduce the number of uninsured Americans.
[snip]
National defense:.............He believes President Obama's attempts to limit nuclear weapons are misguided because they ignore "the realities of a world full of power-hungry despots who respect us not because of our ideals but because of our strength.".......
[snip]
Politics: If you thought the Republicans in control of the House were an uncompromising bunch, they've got nothing on Perry. In Texas, the governor has never been known for reaching across the aisle and pressures moderate Republicans to toe the conservative line. He believes the GOP lost its congressional majority in 2006 not because of an unpopular war but because the party compromised its small-government principles. Under a Perry administration, it would be Rick's way or the highway.
[snip]
....(notably, he doesn't see the world getting warmer, as climate scientists predict it will be in 2026, because he believes that the overwhelming scientific consensus about man-made global warming is "a contrived phony mess").....
Perry expresses deep nostalgia for the laissez faire, robber-baron era at the turn of the 20th century, when government stayed out of the way of business, unions were weak or nonexistent and the Progressive movement hadn't yet taken off.....

Does that mean you are in favor of killing only 16% of the babies Planned Parenthood is killing?
Always remember whenever someone tells you that sending people to Mexico is inhumane we have millions of Americans who actually go down there at their own expense to have fun, or to vacation.
They finally get one right. Wonder who told them?
NEWT GINGRICH: Rick Perry's book "almost came too late" [Foreward to "Fed Up!"]
"I wish this book had never needed to be written.
It almost came too late.
America is recklessly accelerating toward economic disaster. Fed Up! may be the last warning sign to the danger that lies ahead.
Rick Perry, Texas governor for the past decade, is uniquely qualified to offer a firsthand perspective on why the United Statesthe most successful civilization in human historyis being threatened with economic collapse.
First Principles
Faith, freedom, and free enterprise are the pillars of a strong, safe, prosperous society. Rick knows that when these principles are protected, America succeeds, and when they are undermined, America fails. But the Left has a different belief. The Left believes that most people are not capable of pursuing happiness and that a strong centralized government is best able to provide for them. While claiming compassion for humanity, the Left's policies are destructive to the human beings subject to themas we have had to learn painfully again and again.
The Left's self-serving solution to every crisis, economic or otherwise, and many of their own doing, is always the same: inflict higher taxes on Americans to create more government programs with more rules and regulations that result in less freedom, less innovation, less safety, and less prosperity.
The problem with the Lefts one solution, as Rick forcefully explains in the pages that follow, is that it doesn't work. It's never worked, and it never will work. The record shows it.
But what the record also shows is that when power and freedom are returned to the people, when people are rewarded for work, and when government holds the line on spending, individuals and opportunity thrive. We have seen that result most spectacularly recently in Texas, and in the mid-1990s with the Contract with America Congress, when I served as Speaker of the House.
The Texas Record........................."

The Bilderberg Group, Bilderberg conference, or Bilderberg Club is an annual, unofficial, invitation-only conference of approximately 120 to 140 guests from North America and Western Europe, most of whom are people of influence. About one-third are from government and politics, and two-thirds from finance, industry, labour, education and communications. Meetings are closed to the public and often feature future political leaders shortly before they become household names.
For me, the only thing it shows is the organizers were good in identifying the 'leaders' or influential persons in each sector. Looking at the time line between them attending the meeting and getting elected to their respective offices, I'd say the organizers picked the attendees who were already somewhat famous. Look. We just need to agree to disagree here. I will not prevent you from seeing anything you (want to) see.
WOW! Great graphic!!!
I think you’re on the right side of history.
NICE!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Freedom vs Slavery is the divide between Conservatives and Socialists.
In 2010, Palin also endorsed several establishment "RINO" candidates (Brandstad, McCain, Fiorina, et al) over the "true conservative" candidates. Was it because she supported the most conservative candidate that she believed could win? Or was it because she knew the most conservative candidate had no chance, and she wanted the person who could win to owe her politically? Either way, it was a political calculation, not a sign of philosphical purity...
You're talking about Sarah, right? Because that is what she was saying in 2008.
