Well, Governor Perry obviously has his priorities mixed up -- after all, which is more important to the Federal government: Defending our shores against foreign hostility or keeping those welfare rolls fat so the Orcs don't riot, not to mention making sure those votes are bought come election time?

Blame Obama (the POS), but don’t forget which president brought planned production from over 800 to 187. Hint - it was not Obama. As much a POS Obama may be one cannot overlook Bush/Rumsfeld’s (Cheney is not in this one - his role was years before canceling the F14 and destroying the tooling) actions when it came to the Raptor.

Our "leaders" also gave Red China practically our entire manufacturing and industrial base. In the 90's they moved fully equipped aircraft manufacturing factories to Red China, as exhaustively documented by Kenneth Timmerman in Selling Out America. Is President Ricardo going to bring those factories and jobs back to the US?

He needs to jump on GE and Obama for transferring jet technology to China.

They are going to run Boeing out of business.
That asshole, Obama shuts down beoing moving jobs to SC because its a non union right to work state and then he sits on his hands while Jeffery Imelt gives China the know how to use slave labor to put boeing out of business.

Obama, and his minions are truly working to destroy Americas backbone.

I have wondered where China also got the knowledge to build their new state of the are aircraft carrier. They never had this knowledge before.

I don’t necessarily believe in cycles, but this is looking more and more like a replay of the late 70’s and 1980. Just replace the F-22 with the B-1 bomber, and the Chinese fighters with the Russian Backfire bomber, and it reads practically the same.

I am currently working on a 10 reasons I like Rick Perry list. So far off the top of my head in no particular order, I have...

10. Has enforced the death penalty more than any other governor in history.

9. Skeptical about the global warming scam.

8. Calls for a full and open audit of the Federal Reserve.

7. Strong 2nd Amendment supporter, gun owner, and NRA member.

6. Signed a law forcing filers of lawsuits found frivolous by a judge to pay court and attorney costs.

5. Helped Texas to become ranked the most business friendly state in the country (California is dead last).

4. Half the jobs created recently in the entire USA were in Texas (see #5).

3. Supports building the F22.

Any other suggestions? (note to Perry bashers, please don't bombard me with the same old “Perry is an open borders RINO” crap).

The alternate to this head line, “Perry says bush and gates did not spend enough money and calls for more spending.”

"Perry: Gates Gave China Fighter-Jet Superiority"

If Perry had actually said THAT I would be ridiculing him for his ignorance.

However when one reads the full article you can see Perry didn't actually SAY THAT.

Also, these two so-called aviation "experts" from Australia obviously don't know what they are talking about.

Good for Perry. After all, instead of cutting regulations from EPA, OSHA and getting rid of failed govt. agencies and other bureaucratic nonsense, the Obama-ites want to gut our national security. This naif in the WH and his Dem crew cannot defend us either domestically or internationally. This is another reason a Pub candidate with guts and wisdom in military affairs is needed to protect even the gutless Libs.

All the designs and certifications have already been done. So, restarting the line, while expensive, won't be nearly as much as the development cost.

Drawings will have to be dusted off and supplier contracts renegotiated. But it can be done.

If Perry becomes President, and he still doesn't get the line restarted, then, in reality, he will not be able to blame anyone but himself. So, in a way, he is setting himself up for potential future criticism.

Bob Gates avoided combat, spent his life as a bureaucrat and wrapped up his time at the DoD by becoming the champion of military sodomy. It's a pity Bush didn't pick somebody like Duncan Hunter as SecDef, someone who would have commanded the respect of the troops and had far more combat time then most of the men he led. Credibility is important.
