Brian Young had big plans for his church's IT strategy. But his vision suffered a serious setback this summer after Google Inc. altered its nonprofit program to prohibit all churches and religious organizations from participating.
For years, the search and software giant individually offered some of its productsincluding its office software and popular Gmailfor free or discounted use to qualifying nonprofits. Eligibility requirements varied by product, but churches and faith-based groups were welcome to use some.
All of that changed in mid-March when the company launched "Google for Nonprofits." The new initiative united a robust set of Google's tools into one program, but it also came with new guidelines that excluded numerous entities, including schools, political thinktanks, churches, proselytizing groups, and any organization that considers religion or sexual orientation in hiring decisions.

didn’t google say that The Algorithm is god or something like that?
Hypocrites never see their own hypocrisy.
Google: out front and on the cutting edge of the looming world where no one will be encumbered by Christ or Christianity.
Dump google.... maybe have it nationalized by zero
Hypocrisy is ok for some of us.
Google - no Easter logo
Obama - no Easter message
But Ramadan message.
Seriously - how much data is enough to conclude?
Just Google living up to their motto (as they do when they trample on privacy rights)
“Do ... evil”
Huh? (Do Evil is their motto?)
WHAT ALTERNATIVES ARE THERE??
Free Republic should spin off a search engine company
What search engine company may be less liberal than Google?
Yahoo (we know AOL is no good), any other ideas?
Article:
“While church leaders may be startled by Google’s changes, corporations often exclude faith-based groups from their philanthropic programs or restrict who can qualify, said Lloyd Mayer, a professor at Notre Dame Law School.”
I agree....and we know how often the ceo’s meet with Obama and his crew.......notice how often Obamas “vote for me” ads pop up on so many sites...they are fully in his corner.
Good question maybe some of our well informed Freepers can share.
A professor at a university can always be located to spout whatever is it that one needs to be said to support any given agenda.
It is one of the things that (IMHO) got us into the situation we are in now - relying on the guidance from a selected insular academic elite that dwells in a world of theory and is largely divorced from the realities of life outside their nicely manicured campus quadrangles.
I think Google is a classic case of
Marxist/globalist “good old boy club” strategies and methods.
The “System” detects or facilitates some rising star . . . whether Bill Gates or Apple or Google founders etc.
They sanction and support the rising star at all the upper levels of power . . . insuring his wealth etc. and insuring their control over the new sphere of life—in this case, a VERY powerful sphere.
It doesn’t really matter what the beliefs and perspectives are of the initial rising star. If he doesn’t happen to believe in Marxist globalist priorities and values—they’ll either buy him out [the options of refusing to be bought out are not all pretty by any means]. Or, if he’s not all that political and is willing to comply with their demands, they may allow him to stay at the helm of his new industry.
There are special places in hell reserved for such satanic goons.
So end-of-the-world-is-just-around-the-corner bloggers won’t get paid for blog hits? What a tragedy.
more obama data, if you need it:
Stranger than FictionThe "capture" of Osama bin Laden: who really believes the story as it was told? Besides the hopelessly credulous, that is.
Recently had a conversation with someone who speculated that the death was faked with the complicity of President Obama. The someone reports that one very credible source had a brother on the ship from which the body was allegedly "buried at sea," and reports that he neither saw nor heard anything of the sort while on the ship at that very time. A gag order was issued out of "reverence." But nobody saw anything.
The interesting feature of this thesis is that it's at least as plausible as the one that was served by the media.
Google is now worthless. I used to be able to enter a phone number and see the owner. Now I get a list of phone number search sites. Most product searches now result in more search sites.
