Good for the prosecutor. No crime = no persecution. Or Prosecution.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A prosecutor says she won’t file any criminal charges against Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice David Prosser over allegations he choked a liberal colleague.

Justice Ann Walsh Bradley accused Prosser of choking her in June as the justices deliberated on a legal challenge to Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s contentious collective bargaining law, which strips most public workers of nearly all their union rights.

Sauk County District Attorney Patricia Barrett is acting as a special prosecutor in the case. She says she has reviewed investigators’ reports and decided there’s no basis to file charges against either Walsh Bradley or Prosser. She told The Associated Press in an interview that accounts from other justices who witnessed the apparent altercation varied, but declined to elaborate further.

I wish more websites would list news story up-dates that way.

They have the most recent update on top, but as you scroll down, you can follow how the story developed in reverse chronological order back to the beginning.

The omitted the word "alleged."

They wouldn't do that if the judge was a "person of color."

There was no “choking incident”. All they had was a lying, psycho woman.

Maybe she should have been charged, but since Prosser was able to fend off her attack, no harm, no foul.

No crime was committed, but that doesn’t rule out the Judicial Commission that is also investigating the matter coming up with a finding that Bradley, and possibly Chief Justice Abrahamson as well, violated judicial ethics by making the false claim in the first place. I don’t think this is over yet for Bradley.

As for Prosser, the whole thing was just a weak attempt to derail him.

Best outcome: Bradley found guilty of a serious ethics violation, along with Abrahamson as well, and both being replaced on the Supreme Court by Walker appointees. Probably won’t happen, but it would sure make some liberals’ head set to spinning. It would also be a just outcome.

She is a supreme court judge who rulings affect the lives of many people and businesses. And she goes an asinine stunt like this. How can anyone ever trust her judgement after this? Something is wrong in her mind? She needs to go!
