This video clearly shows that George Bush warned Congress starting in 2001, that this economic [financial] crisis was coming if something was not done. But Congress refused to listen, along with the arrogant Congressman, Barney Frank. This video says it all. The liberal media reportedly did not want this video on You Tube; it was taken off. This link is of the same video, but is routed through Canada . Everyone in America needs to see this before it is yanked off the Internet again!
Let's see how far we can spread it before it's pulled off the Canadian site.

Bush gave the warning in 2003, not 2001. In 2001 it was simply a report suggesting potenial problems with Fannie & Freddie.
Yeah...I'm not sure how anyone would percieve that as a warning... (/sarc)
Did not know the Video was removed....it was just Barny Frank talking in his own words.....
Then he said, "What the heck," and pushed through the Medicare prescription drug entitlement.
Although not part of the financial crisis as presented here, my complaint against Bush was that he never used his veto power to constrain spending.
Thank You.
I have been looking for this. I saw it back then.
Good thing to get out there esp. right before 2012.
Yes, and I also understand that his administration was also trying to allow thousands to arrange house purchases with as little as $500 down.
While I was a GWB supporter in many ways, my biggest complaint about him...? He spent money like a Democrat.
bump.
My understanding is that a lot of the spending particularly done in the Pelosi House (when the economy really started to turn South) was bundled in with military spending.
Same thing happened with Reagan.
Very true, but I think a few vetoes, even with military spending hanging in the balance, could have forced them to back off, especially if he pointed out why he vetoed the bills.
They wouldn’t have backed off...they would have relished a fight. That would have set the welfare class against the military and Bush was not about to imperil the WOT or risk any negative view of the men/women in uniform. The military was too high a priority for him...and rightly so.
