President Obama is no doubt enjoying lots of delicious sea food in Martha's Vineyard -- lobster, scallops, that sort of thing. But when he's back in Washington, he'll be chowing down a favorite new meal prepared by the White House chef: gourmet-style Iowa pork chops! Specifically: "cinnamon brined grilled Iowa pork chops." (Snip) He loved the meaty chops so much that his staff requested the recipe from the hotel's chief, so that the chops could be added to the official West Wing menu.

Funny, my mom used to fry thin sliced pork chops, the ones with the bone. They were a little tough, but good gosh were they tasty.

Funny, we just bought a three pound pack of those today, because wifey's in the mood for some 'greasy' chops, versus the lean loin ones we usually favor....they'll get cooked up with some spanish rice tomorrow.

The food vendors who supply meat to the White House are under GAG CONTRACT. But a delivery driver for one of them did say no Pork product has been delivered to the White House since the Obama’s have arrived.
He by the way was fired for talking about it.
