Vento was a controversial figure, perhaps known best for signs at his steak shop requiring customers to order in EnglishSince when it is 'controversial' to ask someone to speak English in an English speaking country?

Awh man! I had a couple of those cheese steak sandwiches at his place.
Some guy was screaming “Onion?!” “Onion?!”
I asked him “What?”
His reply was “I ain’t got all day. You want onions or do I giver your sandwich to the next guy and you can get back in line?”
I laughed and told him to load it up.
Yuhmmmmmm!!!!!

Neil Cavuto had Joey on his program on Fox a few times. He really liked Joey and Joey’s patriotic attitude. I wonder if Cavuto will say something about him on his show tomorrow. RIP Joey, you were a good man.

He was the one who put up the signs that customers had to order in English, isn’t he ? My 20-something sons would drive from VA to Philly, usually on the spur of the minute somewhere around midnight, just to get a cheesesteak. Then come right back home.

Prayers for the family of a great man.
Oh, for those of you thinking about heaven’s cheesesteaks getting an upgrade, just remember, that the liberal idea of heaven would ban cheesesteaks, sodas, fries, etc, etc, etc

BTW, was it at his place that Jean-Francois Kerree tried to order Swiss cheese on his cheesesteak?
Correct-a-mundo, lmo!

7 years shorter than our current life expectancy isn’t really a ripe age.

Apaprently lived to a ripe age eating cheesesteaks. Ill take that as good news. 71 isn't really ripe or old. And there is nothing healthy or good for you about cheese or steak or the white bread he served it on. Bad eats all around.
But, apparantly he was a good dude. But what the hell was up with that gold chain?

Indeed, as I suspected, Neil Cavuto gave a moving tribute to Joey at the end of his show today on Fox. Neil greatly admired Joey, had him on his show quite a bit, and they both celebrated their Italian heritage. Thank you Neil for remembering your friend Joey in your commentary. It made me very proud of you too.
