Just months after the conclusion of talk show Oprah, former CBS Evening News host Katie Couric will have a syndicated television program named after herself.
Art for the much-anticipated talk show Katie hit the Internet Monday with the lofty tagline, The Opportunity Begins September 6th.
Katie, premiering on ABC next month, is part of Courics network agreement that enables her to contribute interviews, participate in special events coverage, and anchor television specials, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Ample details on Katie have yet to be released, but Disney/ABC Television Group president Anne Sweeney told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this summer that the program will be topical and capture the zeitgeist of what people are talking about.

Seriously? By whom??
I thought it was going to be called “Former Beltway Reporter” Show?
I thought ‘Barfy’ would be appropriate...
I don’t know how they came up with that name, but it will eventually be called: “The cancelled show, Katie”
Call it “Dumb-Sh*t!”
I think “Hag-Bag” is more poetic...and accurate.
How ‘bout “Kasting Kouch Katie”?
Was “Vapid” already taken?
“Cootie”
How ‘bout “Koffee Talk With Katie’s Kolon”?
I like her song...

and it is really perky!
I'm baaaaaack.
`K-k-k-katie!’?
She should do us all a favor,go on board with “The View” and take the whole squawking henhouse down with her.
I’m glad she has a new show.
I’ll not watch this one either.
The View has it’s own song too...
‘They’re coming to take me away’

Or...."an abject failure by any other name is still a failure."
